Margaretville wins it with 2:28 left in the 2nd OT. Mackenzie Hubbell scores the game winner for the Blue Devils. River Williams chips in a direct kick & Mackenzie finds the loose ball to bury it for the game winner
What a game! First S4 title for Margaretville since 2002

After the attacks of September 11th, @TheLeeGreenwood's hit song “God Bless the U.S.A.” became an anthem uniting a grieving city and nation.
Prior to Game 4 of the 2001 World Series, Lee Greenwood stood at home plate of the original Yankee Stadium and performed the song as powerful tribute to the victims and first responders. On this 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, we welcomed Lee Greenwood once again to sing “God Bless the U.S.A.” 🇺🇸

High school sports are fun. Kids should play for that reason alone. Problem is lots of club coaches tell kids not to compete for their high school so there’s more time to showcase & “get seen”. And kids end up being the ones missing out on the experience.

There are over 150 MLS Clubs forbidding High School kids from playing for their communities and instead charging thousands of dollars and promising the dream of playing at a higher level. If you are good, colleges will find you. Play for your comm and enjoy the Fri Night Lights.

First off, this is absolutely tragic and devastating to lose such a beautiful young woman. My heart and prayers go out to her family and the entire community grieving this loss.
That being said, I find myself saying this often because it continues to be an overlooked issue.
Parents need to step up and be parents not friends. Children and teens should not be regularly consuming energy drinks, excessive caffeine, or other stimulants that can seriously impact their developing bodies and nervous systems. This also includes things like frequent Starbucks drinks loaded with caffeine and sugar, and in some cases exposure to substances like THC gummies, which are completely inappropriate for minors.
These products are not harmless. High caffeine intake in adolescents can increase anxiety, disrupt sleep, elevate heart rate and blood pressure, and negatively affect mood, focus, and recovery. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that adolescents consume no more than 100 mg of caffeine per day, yet many drinks marketed to teens far exceed that in a single serving.
What may feel like “letting kids make their own choices” can actually become a lack of boundaries during a critical stage of development. Kids don’t need more freedom to consume stimulants they need guidance, structure, and protection.
Be your kids parent not their friend. They have enough friends!

Got exactly what we deserved. I genuinely can’t get over what we’ve seen from Tuchel there. This feels so much worse than Croatia, Italy, Spain.
It was right there for England, playing well, leading, great options on the bench and he’s just completing botched it tactically. Thrown the initiative away and gone out in pretty pathetic style.
So disappointing.

In the last three years as a HS Athletic Director, I fielded over 100 emails, texts, and calls attempting to explain why a coach was directly responsible for a loss one of our teams suffered.
In that same time, I didn’t take a SINGLE call, text, or email telling me a coach was the reason we won a single game.
We played for, and/or won, 10 state championships in 2 seasons.
