Recruit- "Coach....My HS coach told me NAIA was for guys who want to develop and transfer to NCAA Programs."
Me- "Find the area of the NAIA Website that says that."

NAIA ATHLETES PLEASE READ THIS
You need 12 credit hours to be fulltime. Don't drop a class without letting your coaches know.
If you drop below 12 credit hours stop competing until you get it figured out.
There's a bunch of exceptions but if these apply to you: ASK SOMEONE.

On November 4, The Heart of America Athletic Conference office will vote YES on the @NAIA’s proposal for 5 seasons of competition within 10 semesters, without an age-based eligibility clock.
In today’s college athletics environment, we believe this is common-sense legislation that expands student-athlete opportunity and gives the NAIA a competitive advantage in recruiting.
Every member institution and conference has one vote. We’re proud to cast our vote in support.

I was watching a high school game with a coach from a P4 school. He was recruiting a great receiver. The QB threw a pick and the receiver didn’t even try to make a tackle. He jogged a few steps then stopped. The P4 coach said, “that’s all I need to see.” Don’t let a lack of effort get you taken off the board.

2000+ D2/D3/NAIA Freshman football careers are going to end in the next 3 months...because you aren't focused on where your feet are...
If you're not an All-American, All-Conference, Multi-year Starter...you're exactly where you should be.
Anecdotes aren't data points.

Before entering the portal, ask yourself
✅ Learned the playbook? ✅ Went to class? ✅ Done everything asked of you?
If not, a new school won't fix it.
Most coaches aren't looking for freshmen who quit midseason.
Finish what you started. The players who stay and develop usually win in the long run.
30+ different starters in 7 games we recruited out of high school by our staff.
When you believe in development, you're prepared when your number is called.
Recruit. Develop. Retain.
