This is not the Texas Way. This is not educational based athletics meant to teach young men discipline, control of self and respect for others. This is not how we show competitive spirit in the great state of Texas! Never post negativity but seeing more and more of this.

Yesterday Stephen Mackey went to the capital at 7:30 am to testify on HB3. He did not get to testify until 12:45 am this morning. He stayed there all day and then delivered a powerful testimony on behalf of Blanco and all public schools here in Texas. @THSCAcoaches #HB3

This is a good life lesson from #Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel.
He says he will not pre-judge a player (in this case Chase Claypool) based on things he's heard, but instead he'll base it on his own interactions.
"I’m going to give you the opportunity to define who you are in the most honest, organic, real way possible and that’s open-mind, clean-slate, and let’s go."
He also playfully added to the media about Claypool:
"You guys want me to say it, don’t you? He’s fast. It’s cool." 😄
(h/t @BarroomNetwork, @KingOfPhinland)
Details: #Bears are trading a 2025 7th round pick and WR Chase Claypool to the #Dolphins for a 2025 6th round pick, per @DMRussini
The Bears gave up the 32nd overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft to the Steelers for Claypool, now they ship him away, along with their own draft pick, for a 2025 6th round pick.

Dan Lanning has put Oregon Football back on the map.
And on the cusp of their first college football playoff appearance since 2014.
But his remarkable story -- and how he's taken college football by storm -- doesn't start there.
It starts in 2011.
When Lanning landed a spot on Pitt's coaching staff as a graduate assistant.
Barely making ends meet for his wife and three kids...
But he found a way.
Rising in the coaching ranks and learning from some of the game's brightest minds.
Nick Saban.
Kirby Smart.
Now, Lanning has quickly become one of the hottest — and most talked about — head coaches in college football.
At just 37 years-old.
This is Dan Lanning’s story — unfiltered.
