The "software is dead" thesis underestimates how bad operators are at designing software. If you let people build their own houses instead of buying one, you get shit houses. The stack is also recursively dependent. Stripe handles your payments. Another company outsources your customer service. Another does your design. Another tracks employee hours and benefits.
