South Africa is Africa’s model state
The mushrooming and fragmentation of political parties speak volumes about our ability as people to unite. I like how the US, with over 300 million people, rallies behind two main political parties. Just imagine over 600 political parties contested the local government elections in South Africa
I hope there will be moments of deep reflection and concrete steps taken, with no more lip service to renewal by the ANC. Unfinished transformation business remains, and as a black person, no better organised movement with capacity exists than @MYANC. We cannot afford to lose the gains made so far. #LGE2026

Okay…
Any analyst claiming anti immigrant rhetoric dictates election results is lying. Look at the data: Helen Zille has been clear and decisive on legalizing foreign nationals, yet the DA continues to win massive support from the exact people pushing xenophobic narratives. Actions and votes speak louder than talking heads.
It’s time to regroup, do some serious rejig and rethink, turns and twists are normal, we never tire
The African National Congress extends heartfelt thanks to members, supporters, volunteers and voters for entrusting us with their vote. We reaffirm our commitment to implement the Local Government Election manifesto. The work continues, aluta continua. Let’s build better communities.

What’s happening to the ANC reminds me of Bruce Hornsby beautiful lyrics in the song “The Show Goes On”
“What's the long face, what's all the crying for
Didn't you expect it when you opened your door
To the man with the long coat and the long list of victims” (2007 Polokwane)
Just the way it is, some things wl never change.

Action SA are what we thought EFF would be. They have intelligent sober minded comrades. You’ll never hear a single voetsek from them. They are very focused and growing.
