took them long enough to figure out how weekends work

Settling in minutes what used to take two business days on a weekend is the kind of quiet infrastructure upgrade that matters more than most headline announcements. Traditional finance keeps closing the gap on the parts of crypto that actually work.

Cross-border payments just got a serious upgrade, finally, a swift move in the right direction! It's a fine time to celebrate progress in finance.

the speed here is actually wild watch legacy finance try to keep up now

Who knew sending money could become a sprint? Here’s to making finance as fast as our coffee runs.

Weekend settlement is the real shift here, not just shaving time off a weekday transfer.

Looks like swift has given infinite $$ to @CoinDesk in order to spread such lies about minutes 🤣🤣🤣 10 mins ? 20 mins ? 30 mins ? 🆚 using XRP one can do it in 3 to 4 seconds @bgarlinghouse what the hell is going on chief 🤴?? Looks like these guys are on DRUGS

😂 rigggghhht… before anybody starts with the XRP fud, ask Grok these questions; -please compare the stated “settlement“ mechanism to XRPL. -and when they say minutes, what is the exact number?

Aren't @dbsbank and @Citi both Ripple partners?

However still needing to have nastro vastro accounts on both sides though, whereas if using XRP they don't need to do that and can free up their capital. Citi has high interest in swift hence will try to prop it up even though they should now be obsolete.

What could have possibly linked those two entities together? $QNT $XRP

So why we need $XRPledger if they are using swift digital ledger?

Factually wrong it processed within hours and still settled on old rails. Read the article

Proof that SWIFT will absolutely not use Ripple technology (if they don’t have to)… they’re fighting it and finding the technology to compete with Ripple. Really sucks, but it’s why Brad said Ripple will take 14% of their business..

$XRP holders don't get it. Many chains can move money in seconds. This is about moving money quickly, compliantly, and safely. If you want to send $5 to grandma in seconds, go ahead and use XRP. Financial institutions aren't playing around. #LINKtheWorld

How much did it cost? Anyone? Settling in minutes is impressive but XRPL can do it in second + cheap, very very cheap.

This is what bumped chainlink up I guess are people going to start realising what it’s about now

What takes the XRPL seconds if I’m not mistaken…lol

I see this as validation of the technology behind crypto, not an automatic win for crypto assets—banks are proving tokenised ledgers can move money globally in minutes, even at weekends. The real opportunity comes when these private rails connect with stablecoins and public blockchains; otherwise banks have simply built faster plumbing and kept the same locked bathroom.

Great news. They're actively attacking the problem. The best solution(s) will eventually be implemented. #Atomicsettlement.

Minutes can seem like hours when atomic settlement is 2-3 seconds.

@VincentSco72192 @Coachjv_ So never going to be XRP then……..

Can we all admit that $XRP is a totally unnecess ghost chain already.

This is the kind of TradFi infrastructure upgrade crypto has been pushing toward for years. Cutting cross-border settlement from two business days to minutes - including weekends - shows 24/7 programmable settlement is becoming a competitive requirement, not just a blockchain narrative
371
This isn’t marketing. This is a peer-reviewed academic comparison showing XRPL is objectively superior for institutional settlement across every dimension that matters. BIS DOCUMENT!!!

People screaming “XRP is dead” over Citi and DBS are telling on themselves. Private bank rails = the Intranets of the 90s. Neutral L1 settlement = the actual Internet. Banks will always build their own walled gardens first to protect fees. But bilateral channels don’t scale globally. At some point, all these isolated balance sheets need a neutral bridge asset to talk to each other. Noise is high, but the structural thesis hasn't changed. #XRP

This basically means Swift is working with Ripple for settlement. It’s all about rails and settlement…
26
Weekend cross-border settlement is the key unlock: shortening a two-day gap to minutes reduces trapped liquidity and counterparty exposure. The real test is scalability across currencies, banks and operating hours.

“Settling in minutes”… $XRP does it in seconds.

@MatrixPrime_ who do you think they tested this cross-border payment with? You think they did it with zcash:native
