ALT The image is a note pad with colouring pencils drawn around the side and the writing is a poem called type 1 diabetes. The poem reads: "There's more to diabetes than what the eye can see. It's more than counting carbs in what you're having for tea. It's hard work every day. It's a life long illness it won't ever go away. Diabetes is my super power Diabetes won't make me cower. Diabetes has helped me become brave you should know the symptoms, so hopefully one of you I can save. If your exhausted weak and thirsty, go to the doctors so you can catch it early. If you need a wee more than usual, get a test done time is valuable. It's scary at first and I was sad. Then I realised it's not that bad. It's a little needle to help me stay safe. The nurses are amazing. They give me complete faith. I've been shown love by so many of you. I appreciate everything all of you do. My poem has now come to an end. I hope this is a positive message I can send." Written by Ashleigh and Cody-Ella
