I’m backing Reform UK as a political calculation not because I think they’re perfect, but because I think they have a real chance to break the grip of Labour and the Conservatives. Disagree? Show me a better route to power. Another party saying the right things means little if the result is the same people governing again. And to the millions who didn’t vote last time: you could be the kingmakers. Your vote is yours to use, withhold, or make the parties earn. This time, make them understand what it’s worth. Today, my legal team received a request from social services demanding that I remove the letter they gave me on Tuesday, which clearly sets out the position they are putting my family in. They are now claiming that the letter is confidential correspondence. It is not. If Bradford Children’s Trust does not want me sharing information about their actions, perhaps they should start considering whether those actions are appropriate in the first place. I will not be removing the letter. My solicitor has responded to them on my behalf and made that position clear. I also find it deeply concerning that they appear to be monitoring my social media. At this point, I feel I am being monitored more closely by the authorities than the people who sexually abused me as a child ever were. That is an incredibly difficult thing to accept, particularly given everything I have already been through. Once again, I am being treated as though I am the problem in a situation where I am the victim, mirroring the very behaviour I experienced from institutions throughout my abuse. For years, I have fought to be heard, not just for myself, but for other survivors of child sexual exploitation who have been failed by the systems that were supposed to protect us. I survived years of abuse as a child. In 2019, nine men were convicted and sentenced for offences against me. I thought that, finally, a chapter of my life was coming to an end. It wasn't. Since speaking publicly about what happened to me, I have continued to campaign for accountability, better safeguarding and justice for victims. I have worked with people across the political spectrum, spoken publicly, supported other survivors and pushed for the failures surrounding cases like mine to be properly examined. But there has been a devastating personal cost. Following the release of my offenders, my family and I have faced serious safety concerns, including harassment, stalking and threats. We have had to flee our home and relocate for our safety. We are now homeless again. We have been moved from place to place, spent weeks in temporary accommodation and are currently in unstable and unsuitable housing. Our finances have also been severely affected, leaving us struggling to meet even basic living costs. I have five children who depend on me. My priority is making sure they are safe, secure and able to have some normality again. I never wanted to ask strangers for money. I have spent much of my life trying to stand on my own two feet. But right now, I need help. The money raised will go towards safe accommodation, moving and relocation costs, essential household items, food, travel, clothing, children's needs and other basic living expenses while we try to rebuild our lives.
