The unwavering, tribal connections to red or blue is a product of accelerating narrow casting. We no longer have a shared culture around movies, music etc. Politics is the last overlap most people share. This is a disaster when both side’s main focus is demonizing the other.

Real food comes from farms… not grocery stores
Strawberry Pop-Tarts are 2% or less strawberries. That's the label, dried strawberries are in the 2% or less group along with dried pears and dried apples. The red is Red 40, and Yellow 6, Blue 1 and caramel color are in there too. Somebody sued Kellogg over it in 2021 and a federal judge in Chicago threw it out. He said no reasonable consumer expects a Pop-Tart to be only strawberries.
He's probably right. The box has a strawberry on it and the word strawberry and red filling, and the only thing that has to be true is that it tastes like strawberry. Same deal with fruit snacks, fruit cereal and most of the strawberry yogurt aisle.
