CPD has cleared the scene at 8th St and Walnut St. We thank you for your patience and cooperation. More updates regarding the shots fired incident will be available in the future.
At 2:30 a.m., Columbia Police received a call about shots fired on 8th St and Walnut St. Upon arrival, officers located one victim who was transported to the hospital. We are still investigating this incident, and we ask you to avoid the area.
Help us locate Joan Judith Harris, 84, of Columbia, last seen at 12:20 p.m. walking in the 2000 block of Calico Lane. She has medical issues. The photo was taken on CCTV this morning.

At about 1:30 p.m. Sept. 23, Columbia Police located Christopher Dow, 34, of Columbia, inside a residence in the 4100 block of Hidden Creek Court and attempted to arrest him on a past assault charge.
