FC Augsburg believes it's quite terrible to have 17 other Bundesliga clubs sitting on a bunch of the league's limited supply of points.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman believes people owning RAM is wasteful, and that it belongs in data centers instead. "From a global allocation perspective, actually, it’s quite terrible to have everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer."

I cannot, for the life of me, understand how anyone who cares about gaming can read shit like this and still be pro-AI.

The three most frequently misspelled words in gaming: 1. Baldur's (Bauldr? Boulder)? 2. Rogue (Rouge, somehow) 3. Schreier (don't even get me started)

As much as it hurts, their reasoning is sadly understandable. I think a lot of people aren't aware how EA got burdened with billions of debt all of a sudden. Leveraged buyouts really feel like somehow legal daylight robbery, and should be regulated 🤬
NEW: Why did EA shut down BioWare? Twitter thinks the studio failed because it was too woke. BlueSky thinks Saudi Arabia killed the studio for being too gay. The real reason? Star Wars bloomberg.com/news/newslette…

While I enjoy the gameplay a lot, i gotta say that the Hard Cases are really dragging down my enjoyment of Gears of War E-Day. Nothing worse than achievements for missable collectibles with no proper tracking. Such a baffling design choice that Coalition sadly keeps making 🫤

Review: Gears of War: E-Day (Campaign) I've finally finished my playthrough of Gears E-Day and all I can do is shower praise on the team at @CoalitionGears for a delivering an incredible experience. Everything from visuals to gameplay, music, character performances, level design and much more were knocked out of the park. I had just a few small complaints, but this is one of the best shooters I've played in a while 👏 🎮 Played on: Xbox Series X 🕒 Time Played: 18 hours PROS 🟩 Nailed the atmosphere of an apocalyptic invasion and brutal war 🟩 The best that Gears has ever felt from a gameplay standpoint 🟩 Phenomenal visual direction, both technically and artistically - among the best I've seen this generation 🟩 Grimdark tone of the original game returns, Locust invoked the sense of being overwhelmed by an unknown, all-powerful enemy 🟩 Great level design that pushes the player to utilize cover, flank, and use a variety of tools at their disposal 🟩 Open-ended chapters and side-missions felt fresh and added some variety 🟩 Firefights felt like a fight to the death, especially on harder difficulties 🟩 Getting to see the origins of the Lancer Mk.2 and seeing everyone's reactions to encountering the Locust for the first time were a highlight 🟩 Marcus and Dom were unsurprisingly the highlight, and was nostalgic to see them together again as a longtime Gears fan 🟩 Overall great cast of characters that brought something different to the table 🟩 Excellent performances from the main, especially Marcus and Dom 🟩 Fun new weapons, the Incinerator and Gorehook are especially fun 🟩 Good design changes to some enemies, like making Boomers more powerful and formidable 🟩 While shooting is the main form of interaction, missions didn't feel repetitive, with a variety of goals and objectives keeping me engaged 🟩 Exploration felt rewarding with collectibles that added interesting lore and context to events and the history of Sera 🟩 Excellent boss fights that brought spectacle and freshened the pace CONSIDERATIONS 🟨 Locust respawning in a hallway or alley right after I cleared them detracted from the immersion in open city areas a bit 🟨 Would have liked a bit more time focused specifically on Marcus and Dom, maybe in a special mission or two 🟨 Lack of Berserkers felt like a big missed opportunity CONS 🟥 Squadmate AI could use refinement (sometimes wouldn't revive me, little engagement with the enemy) 🟥 Some enemies felt far too spongey (Matrons, Reavers) 🟥 Some frustrating battles Score: 9/10 #GearsofWarEDay #XboxSeriesX

New mask, same tas... I mean, new year, same tradition! A run down of all the (hopefully) excellent games I have finished throughout 2026!
Brand new year, same old tradition: A thread to collect all the video games (both old and new) I finish throughout 2025. Off to a strong start with 3 games finished (obviously all started last year) in 3 days, not sure I will be able to keep that pace :p

25. The Blood of Dawnwalker (PC) Overall a fantastic debut game that could have been a real GotY contender if not for a terrible lock-on system in combat (soon to be patched) and some frustrating quests. Great story, characters and especially voice acting, excited for a sequel.

26. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 (PC) Both one of the best Call of Duty campaigns ever, and also one of the best overall shooter campaigns in many years, period. Great pacing and variety, stunning presentation, and some relentlessly hard-hitting moments. Highly recommended!
