CMC appreciates @RepFrankLucas for drawing attention to the consequences Basel III will have for ag and energy markets. The Fed must work with the @CFTC to avoid the negative impacts the current Basel proposals would have on derivatives markets. Thank you for your advocacy!

Today, on behalf of CMC, Scott Parsons testified before HSFC staff on the significant challenges Basel III poses for derivatives market end-users. CMC believes @CFTC should have a voice in Basel III policy discussions, recognizing their expertise in commodity markets.

We look forward to the upcoming @CFTC GMAC meeting, sponsored by @CFTCpham, where CMC board member, John Murphy with @MizuhoAmericas, will represent CMC's advocacy objectives.

Today, we listened to the legal eagles of CMC discuss @CFTC enforcement strategies, insider trading, & recent voluntary carbon market guidance issued by the CFTC. Thank you to @kevin_batteh for moderating a lively discussion!

Yesterday's "AI in Commodities" panel featured Ranveer Chandra from Agri-Food @Microsoft and was moderated by Mona Hamdy from @Harvard. The two discussed the role of AI as a co-pilot to the human parsing of data & its potential to aid in supply chain risk mitigation.

This morning we had the opportunity to listen to professional staff from @HouseAgGOP, @HouseAgDems, @SenateAgDems, & @SenateAgGOP share Congressional perspectives on Basel III, Farm Bill, cryptocurrency, @CFTC appropriations & VCM guidance, & @SECGov Custody Rule.

Yesterday's renewable fuels panel "Fueling Tomorrow: Navigating the Future Landscape of Renewable Fuels" featured professionals from @ArgusMedia, @LanzaJet, & @NesteGlobal. We enjoyed listening to the panel discuss the significant potential of renewable diesel & SAF.

It was an honor to hear Karl Rove, the former White House Deputy Chief of Staff, give a keynote address on the 2024 Political Outlook at #SOTI2024. Rove discussed America's current political climate & the historic resilience we have shown when faced with political turbulence.

Dave Ernsberger from @SPGCI gave an excellent keynote address today at #SOTI2024 on the 2024 Energy Transition and Outlook. He discussed how uncertain geopolitical factors & changing economic conditions will impact the evolution of energy market dynamics in coming years.

We enjoyed listening to futures industry exchange leaders from @ICE_Markets, @CMEGroup, & @MGEX1 discuss evolving trends in derivatives markets activity at today's #SOTI2024 Futures Industry Exchange Leaders Panel.

Today's 2024 Agricultural Outlook Panel was a hit! We enjoyed listening to Ed Prosser from @TheScoularCo moderate a lively discussion with panelists from Veriton Fund, JST Global, & EverAg. Discussion centered around the continued convergence between agriculture & energy.
