ALT “The Simpsons” meme. Grandpa sits on a trump stump on a hillside. Children listen to him say, “Before Daylight Saving Time, we set clocks by the sun. Standard Time didn’t wake us by alarm in pitch darkness.”

ALT A three-panel meme contrasts standard length, standard weight, and standard time. The first panel shows rulers with the text “Standard Length: 1 inch = 1 inch” beside a smiling bespectacled Wojak. The second shows metal weights with the text “Standard Weight: 1 pound = 1 pound” beside the same smiling character. The third shows a clock surrounded by suns with the text “Standard Time: noon = noon” beside a crying, distressed Wojak, humorously emphasizing support for permanent Standard Time and opposition to shifting clocks away from solar time.

ALT Two photos from Moose, Wyoming this morning. One at 7am MDT, pitch black. One at 7am MST, sunlit.
