Reza Raffi, with NEW Solutions, donating 10 Microsoft Surface Laptops to Computer CORE
CORE has been accepting donations from NEW Solutions for at least 3 years. CORE used to have to bring 2 cars to collect the desktop donations (including towers, monitors, keyboards and mice).
We have grown to only accepting 10 laptops, using just 1 car!

Computer CORE sincerely thanks AT&T and Human-IT for their large scale distribution of 150 refurbished laptops to Computer CORE participants, particularly for Mission NOVA and other nonprofits such as our colleagues Casa Chirilagua.

Computer CORE has been teaching a free class called “Thinking Inside the Box,” focused on understanding what’s inside a laptop computer. This class is being taught by one of our refurbishment technicians, Jameel. It is being held at Arlington County’s Central Library every third
inclusion.
Our Computer CORE team was on hand to share resources, answer technology questions, and help community members build the skills and confidence to navigate today's digital world.
Thank you Arlington Digital Equity Initiative, Arlington Library and all the partners who
made this exciting day of learning, discovery, and community connection possible!

Computer CORE was proud to help support Arlington's first Digital Discovery Fair on October 10, 2026, at Arlington Central Library!
Held during Cybersecurity Awareness Month, the fair welcomed hundreds of community member
accounts, and other technology questions. Our friendly Digital Navigators will be providing assistance in English, Spanish, Amharic, Arabic, Urdu, Dari, and Hindi.
📷 And there’s another reason to stop by: Computer CORE will raffle off two refurbished laptops to Arlington
residents who visit our Tech Help Bar for personalized support. The drawing will take place at the end of the Fair.
Bring your tech questions and come discover what’s possible!

📷 1,000 Slack members strong!
This week, the Computer CORE Slack channel welcomed its 1,000th member. That's 1,000 learners asking questions, sharing wins, and helping each other grow.
Every day, new digital learners are joining advanced conversations about tech, careers, and
what comes next. We're building this community one learner at a time.
Thank you to every student, graduate, volunteer, and partner who makes this space what it is. Here's to the next thousand! 📷📷📷📷
