Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. The two sides discussed reducing tensions, peace efforts in Europe and the Middle East, and agreed to keep communication channels open.

NEW: Iranian customs data show around 1,300 shipments of Chinese dual-use components to Iran’s Defense Ministry through June, including electronics, motors, GPS equipment and aircraft parts. The Wall Street Journal reports that shipments increased after the U.S. blockade of Iranian sea trade, with Mahan Air expanding cargo flights from China. China denies improperly supporting Iran’s war effort and says it follows international rules on dual-use exports.

The CIA has warned Spain, France and Italy that Russia may be preparing drone attacks, according to El Mundo. Lithuania reportedly identified the drone as a Gerbera with a range of around 600 km, potentially launched from a merchant ship at sea.

BREAKING: Houthi forces have launched a large-scale offensive on the Al-Ashbut junction in the Al-Maqatrah area, south of At Turbah. The junction lies along the Taiz supply route. This begins the encirclement of Taizz and the closure of the supply route.

BREAKING: China is reportedly in possession of sensitive F-35 components after a UPS shipment from Australia to the U.S. was unexpectedly diverted to Hong Kong, according to Bloomberg. The shipment contained an F-35 cockpit canopy and weapons-bay door sent to the U.S. for inspection and possible repair or disposal. The Pentagon says it is working to recover the components.
