Ossoff is now projected to win in Georgia. Here's how the spending broke down in the race. Jon Ossoff (D): $136.6M Mike Collins (R): $10.7M Buddy Carter (R): $7.3M — out in the primary John King (R): $563K — out in the primary Ossoff has raised nearly 13x his opponent — and has 14x the cash on hand.

$146.3M vs. $22.3M. That's the fundraising gap in the most expensive Senate race of 2026. Texas decides its open U.S. Senate seat today, and the money is lopsided in a way few open-seat races ever are. Democratic nominee James Talarico has raised $146.3M — more than six times Republican nominee Ken Paxton's $22.3M, and more than every other candidate in the race combined. Incumbent Sen. John Cornyn ($14.3M) and Rep. Jasmine Crockett ($11.1M) both exited in the primary. The campaigns are only part of the story. Outside groups have spent $489.1M on this race — nearly two and a half times what the candidates themselves raised — with $221.7M aimed against Talarico and $100.6M against Paxton. Rated a toss-up heading into Election Day.

$63.2M raised — and two of the top three fundraisers aren't on today's ballot. Florida's U.S. Senate special election is decided today, and the money tells a story the matchup alone doesn't. Alex Vindman ($20.5M) and Josh Weil ($15.9M) out-raised everyone in the field before exiting after the August 18 Democratic primary. In the general, incumbent Sen. Ashley Moody (R) leads nominee Angie Nixon (D) in total raised, $14.5M to $11.3M. But Nixon heads into Election Day with far more cash on hand ($3.3M vs. $816K), and outside groups have poured $27.8M into the race on top of what the campaigns raised themselves.

The Pentagon is racing to put AI into every corner of its work. The office meant to make sure that happens safely is mostly empty. Seven of the 10 positions in the Defense Department's Responsible AI Division were vacant as of February, according to a GAO report released Oct. 14. The council that's supposed to coordinate responsible-AI work didn't meet from late 2024 until August 2025, and it still has no written charter spelling out who's in charge or how often it meets. GAO's warning: it "is at risk of lapsing again." The gaps show up in practice. GAO asked 10 DoD offices about one AI project each. Four said none of their requirements matched the department's own responsible-AI tenets. Three didn't know whether results would be checked once the system was in use. And 29 of 64 tasks on the division's own roadmap were still unfinished as of April. Pentagon leaders say speed is the priority as rivals pour money into AI. Sen. Jack Reed and outside experts argue oversight can't wait. GAO wants a charter and a fully staffed office; DoD agreed. All three recommendations remain open. 399 endorsements. One Texas Senate seat. 6 days out. 🗝️ Talarico (D) 135 • Paxton (R) 103 Same race, two totally different coalitions. Senate Dem leadership, Pritzker, Bloomberg and the big Texas papers on one side. Cruz, Thune, Musk, RFK Jr., the NRA and the U.S. Chamber on the other. And the biggest group doing the endorsing? Not Congress — state and local officials (134 of them). Every endorsement here is sourced and dated. Full race tracker, polling and money at legis1.com
