Building on the bilateral engagements held on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), I held a meeting with Dr. @ShaheenSnilofer @UNICEFKenya Representative to Kenya and her team .
The engagement forms part of ongoing efforts to accelerate collaboration between the Ministry and UNICEF Kenya on child protection systems strengthening, National child protection Priorities, prevention and response to violence against children, child-sensitive social protection and the professionalisation of the social service workforce.
The Ministry values UNICEF’s technical partnership in advancing a responsive and integrated child protection system in Kenya.

$685 billion: what workers abroad sent home to low- and middle-income countries in 2024. More than foreign direct investment and official aid combined (World Bank).
The diaspora is already a leading financier of development. Financial products built for it are still rare.
Each concessional dollar in blended finance mobilised $5.33 last year, up from $4.14. Yet sub-Saharan Africa's volume fell 46%, to $4.6bn, and it lost its lead for the first time in a decade. The bottleneck isn't capital. It's country-led pipelines.

I trained as a doctor before I worked on policy. Medicine judges you by whether the patient gets better, not by the elegance of the diagnosis. Development deserves the same test.
I'll write here on how delivery happens in hard places. Views my own.
