ive always been very anti AI and i feel like a complete idiot for that now. i had no idea it saved corporations money
"Merry the Christmas Witch" director Tom Walsh says his movie adaptation of the 2012 children’s book would've cost $80 million if he did not use AI. The final budget was $1.5 million.
“We were kind of stuck. The doors are not very open to new kind[s] of ideas and new kind[s] of stories and everything, and that makes it a little tough for independent filmmakers, so that’s where AI came in.”

Beth Pierce will be playing the adorable (and slightly unhinged 🐸) Zozo, Connor Bushoven will be guilt-tripping Jasper as Gerbert, and Elvis Barksdale II will be making us laugh as Alcis’s Father (remember Alcis, the boy looking for his frog in Chapter 1? That’s coming back!)
