Mike Vrabel was just on @TheGregHillShow and not one question from them about their whispers from last week.
New stadium. Same problem.
The Bills’ first loss at the new Highmark Stadium comes at the hands of Drake Maye and the New England Patriots.
You truly couldn’t script it any better.

Being serious this is the dumbest shit ever from Josh Allen.
Have some pride man
Couldn't have said it any better.

So Mike Vrabel saw Drake Maye as the Patriots quarterback and said “I’m going to pick the Pats to coach but lemme tell ya, that Drake Maye kid? I don’t want him!”
What’re we doing here.
Based on the (admittedly limited) interactions that I’ve seen of Mike Vrabel and Drake Maye, I find this incredibly hard to believe.
There is an issue between Mike Vrabel and Drake Maye
Per: @WEEI, @TheGregHillShow
“Despite what Mike Vrabel has said publicly, it goes back to Drake Maye not being his guy”
Wow
Great stuff from Daniel.
📝 My extended thoughts on Drake and the unfortunate start to the 2026 season.
Drake Maye has been bad this season.
Even as one of his biggest supporters, I can't deny it. He looks like a completely different QB. I wish I had an explanation, but I don't.
We should be able to acknowledge that while also appreciating just how good he was last season, and understanding that you don't go from 100 to 0 overnight.
Last year, as a 23-year-old, he put together some of the most prolific quarterbacking we've ever seen from a sophomore (both statistically and on film). And he wasn't a Shanahan puppet elevated by a friendly system. He was routinely making some of the most difficult throws you can possibly make on a football field. We’re talking about someone who somehow led the league in both completion percentage and yards per attempt while posting the second-highest aDOT.
And don't let anyone use the word "schedule" to discredit that. I watched Drake go 13/14 for 184 yards in the second half and lead a game-winning drive on the road against the defense that allowed the FEWEST passing yards in 2025. I watched him post the second-highest success rate in 49 games against any Jim Schwartz defense that was also allowing the second-fewest passing yards in 2025. I watched him throw for 261 yards and 3 video-game TDs against the defense that allowed the fifth-fewest passing yards in 2025.
So yes, Drake has been outright bad in 2026, and something needs to change. But he's already reached heights at 23 that very few QBs reach in their entire careers. So the next time you say he's "not the guy" or call for Tommy DeVito, take a step back and think about what you're saying.
Drake Maye is the guy. Whether he looks like it next week, next month, or this year, is TBD. But I promise you this: he is the guy. I believe that as much as I ever have.
It looks bad right now, but Drake Maye turned 24 not even a month ago.
He WILL get through this. MUCH brighter days ahead.
