You think you’re hitting that because the reduced speed of the ball after the bounce tricks someone who doesn’t understand cricket into eliminating the unpredictability of the trajectory of the ball and whether it’s gonna turn at all or not. Also the bounce is uneven, btw.
Even if you do end up hitting it, where and with how much force you hit it changes the outcome a lot.
