Dog doesn’t know about the time change. Had me up earlier and at her normal time. Made us breakfast.

Our town is so small. This is the busiest day of the year. Our little school draws from 30 min away on a few directions. We had 100 pieces of candy to give out. Gone in 25 minutes.

I love country music it’s my major thought in the world. There really isn’t anything else for me. Finding that next all time song and new artist that tickles your fancy. For the most part the person is a quality one you see yourself hanging out with.

Got Shane minor “space to the habit” melody going through my head this morning. 99% of country fans never even heard it. Former police officer. Wrote some solid stuff too.

My wife got an email today from Newsweek. She’s quoted in the article about a new Ted bundy victim. It was posted a few hours ago.

THIS IS THE OBITUARY FOR JOHN ANDERSON. DeKalb Funeral Chapel in Tennessee: —- John David Anderson (December 13, 1954 – October 21, 2026) John Anderson was a man among many, not just a country music star. A highly devoted humble family man with a tireless creative drive, his devotion to his family was his greatest pleasure. Everyone knows John as a premier country music star, but his family always came first. John’s interests and talents spanned a spectrum as an accomplished award-winning songwriter, storyteller, recording artist, guitarist, producer, publisher, avid sportsman, and environmentalist. His songs “Swingin” and “Seminole Wind” are standards in the annals of country music. As a young, driven musician in Apopka, Florida, he dreamed of being a country music singer who also loved rock and roll and R & B. John wasn’t afraid of losing site of the shore, and he moved to Nashville with a determination to pursue his dream and was well prepared to pay his dues. He famously worked as a laborer, literally helping to put the roof on the Grand Ole Opry building by day, and working Nashville’s lower Broadway’s honky tonks by night. John’s undaunted belief and tireless courage in his pursuit found him initial recognition on music row and a life far beyond his expectations. John established his name as Country Music’s first “New Traditionalist” while still in his early 20s. Over time, he recorded for every major record label in Nashville. And through it all, his best friend, and wife Jamie, was the wind beneath his wings and North Star. His family and farm in Smithville, TN, remained his sanctuary and he never let his fame get in the way of his obligations. He topped the charts, wrote and toured relentlessly, laying the foundation for a career that ultimately placed him in a league in the rarified era of his idols Merle Haggard, Lefty Frizzell, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and Johnny Cash, becoming a Country Music Hall of Fame and Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame inductee and multi-platinum recording artist. Among his dozens of awards, he was honored by the Academy of Country Music, the County Music Association, and CMT. John lived in two worlds as a performer on the world stage and also on the family farm in Smithville, TN. Most importantly, John kept his feet on the ground at home with Jamie, Brianna, and Alexa when not in the woods or on the water. He was an avid outdoorsman, highly regarded for his expertise as a sportsman, pursuing it with his inimitable passion. He kept a small, loyal, circle of friends and professional peers. And his word was straight as an arrow. His peers remember John as quick with a smile and a hearty laugh who seemingly enjoyed being aggravated much like his friend Waylon Jennings, though it was never mean-spirited. John was a loyal, down-to-earth friend, happiest when he was with his family and certainly his grandchildren. He was really proud of his two daughters and was in awe of Jamie’s emotional support while he was away on the road and she was keeping it all together back home with love, support, and stability. John now belongs to the ages, and will forever live in our hearts as one of country music’s most beloved singers, and his spirit will blow forever warmly in the Seminole Wind. John is survived by his wife Jamie Anderson, his daughters Brionna Motsenbocker (Erik) Hendersonville, TN and Alexa (Devin) McClish; grandchildren: Stella, Everett, and Wyatt. Brother Tim (Melody) Anderson; sisters – Karen Kidd (Mike), Gail Morrill (Jim), Daniel Island, SC, Deanna Wall (Bill), Hendersonville, and Donna Anderson. Nashville. John is preceded in Death by his parents George & Juanita Anderson Jr. Pallbearers: Tim Anderson, Justin Wall, Jim Morrill, Erik Motsenbocker, Devin McClish, and Brandon Kidd. John will be interred at Anderson Cemetery. —- JOHN DAVID ANDERSON WAS 71. He will be missed.

I had a big venison loin for dinner that I’ve been thawing out since noon. That was our dinner. I left it in a low spot. Apparently the beagle wanted it all for herself and that’s what she got 🤬 so it’s pizza logs for me now.

32 to wake up to with a heavy frost. My beagle had to eat and go to the bathroom. No sleeping in for me. I don’t have plans this weekend. Still going to get a little work done. Up to 65 later.

So I saw a jar of nuts on the table. Ate a small little bit. Told my wife that was the worst thing I’ve ever tasted. Turns out that was my mom’s chihuahua food she sent here a few weeks ago. This is when we watched him. Never sent it back.
