I don’t say this often, but it really makes me feel some type of way.
Building a $50 million center in the hood should be celebrated.
Not ignored.
Not minimized.
Not rewritten.
But in Chicago, if you don’t fit the narrative of the left or the comfort of the elites, your work doesn’t count.
Even when it’s lifting kids.
Creating jobs.
Saving lives.
I didn’t build this for applause. I built it for people who were told they didn’t matter.
Still… the silence is loud.
We keep building anyway.
Because the block knows.
And God keeps the receipts.

This “Bad Faith” documentary that I did for @FoxNews is the bridge between the “What Killed Michael Brown?” documentary and the “White Guilt” documentary. In fact there’s a section from here that we used in “White Guilt.” And Shelby Steele’s narration here has a driving force to it.

NEW: Ken Griffin on Paris riots, Chicago and JB Pritzker
I think Paris should be a real wake up call to every single young American. France is the dream the left talks about. That dream is the nightmare I left from Chicago. That dream doesn’t belong in our country. A society that comes down to how much you can take from others.
Do you see candidates that you’re actually fearful that’s the path they’re going down:
J.B. Pritzker, Governor of Illinois. Yes, 100%. 100%
Ken Griffin on the rise of DSA, Paris riots and looting in Chicago
I'm not so worried about it. It's a New York, Illinois, Michigan, California bit of a bubble.
If you want to see where socialism leads to, look at France last weekend.
It's the socialist dream. The country spends 60% of GDP at the government level.
BTW Paris looked pretty damn similar to Chicago in 2021-22.
It’s a people… (that) are very willing to riot and protest anything. Is that really the future that the US might be looking at?
It’s the future. I lived in Chicago.
I could look out my window at the Dior store. They were very efficient.
We may be more efficient than the French, even at looting.

“That is the trap white guilt sets. It decides in advance what a black person is allowed to think. If you agree with the program, you are a symbol of the oppressed. If you don’t, you are a race-traitor. Either way, you are not a person. You are a role in someone else’s story.” -- @CoreyBBrooks on the evils of white guilt.

Read what I had to say!
They shouted “DEFUND THE POLICE!” But guess who paid the price?
Not the politicians. Not the activists.
The people living in neighborhoods like mine.
I’ve got something to say about that, and some folks won’t like it.

White guilt museum ghosts "White Guilt" documentary.
In August, my father, Shelby Steele, and I asked the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture (@NMAAHC) to host a public screening of our new documentary, "White Guilt," followed by a conversation with the two of us.
The museum has done this for other films like "13th" and "I Am Not Your Negro."
Instead of an answer about a public screening, we were sent an event rental application. Unsure of what to do, we filled it out.
Then we were told our dates were unavailable, even though the museum's public calendar showed nothing on those dates. When we asked about other dates for a public screening, we were offered a private rental for $35,000.
We clarified that this is not what we had asked for. We wanted a public screening and said we were flexible on dates. The museum then stopped answering us.
@FoxNews asked the museum for comment. It didn't answer them either.
My father was born into segregation in Chicago and marched for civil rights.
He has spent decades writing about how white guilt transformed America and the West after the civil rights movement. That is why we believed our documentary belongs at this museum. Doesn't this museum belong to all Americans?
@RobertSchmad of @FoxNews interviewed @jasonrileywsj, @GlennLoury and @carolmswain. Loury watched the film and said that screening it "would certainly be an appropriate use of the platform" of the museum.
Our request remains the same: a screening at this museum. We would appreciate an answer.

An 11-year-old boy asked, “Why doesn’t my dad like me?”
That question broke my heart.
No child should have to wonder why his own father doesn’t want him. We have too many boys growing up with broken hearts, looking for love, guidance and acceptance.
If we don’t reach these boys, the streets will.
That’s why I refuse to quit. We have to build our boys before the streets destroy them.

I intentionally don’t go inside our new center too often. I want to be surprised by the progress.
Today, after not walking through it for 3–4 months, I took a tour.
I couldn’t even make it through the building without breaking down crying.
Y’all… this place is AMAZING.
I thought about every prayer. Every sacrifice. Every setback. Every person who told us it couldn’t be done. And most of all, I thought about every donor who believed in this dream and gave to make it possible.
This isn’t just a building. This is HOPE. This is OPPORTUNITY. This is a statement that our children and our community are worth investing in.
To every donor who gave $10, $100, $1,000 or $1 million THANK YOU.
Today I cried because I could finally see what we’ve been believing for.
We are almost there. 🙏🏾❤️
And if you’ve been watching this journey from the sidelines, I’m asking you to join us. Help us finish what we started. Make a donation today whatever amount you can give and become part of the story of this building and the lives that will be changed inside of it.
Let’s finish this together. ❤️

I need some help getting the attention of the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
For several years, Project H.O.O.D. has reached out asking for help with our Thanksgiving food distribution, where we serve THOUSANDS of families on Chicago’s South Side. Unfortunately, we have not been able to get their support.
This year, I’m asking publicly and respectfully:
@FoodDepository, will you sit down with us and help us figure out a way to feed these families this Thanksgiving?
We’re not asking for anything for ourselves. We’re asking for FOOD for families who need it.
If there is a process we need to follow, tell us.
If there is a partnership we need to establish, show us.
If there is another organization in your network that can help, connect us.
But please don’t let another Thanksgiving pass without us finding a way to work together.
America help me get their attention. Please repost and tag the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
5,000 families. One city. Nobody should go hungry on Thanksgiving.

🚨 URGENT: I NEED YOUR HELP! 🚨
I’m trying to secure 5,000 turkeys for Thanksgiving this year, and time is moving FAST.
I need to find the most affordable way to make this happen. If you know a wholesaler, grocery chain, food distributor, farmer, corporate sponsor—or ANYONE who can help with bulk pricing, donations, or connections—please reach out ASAP!
Our goal is to help 5,000 Chicago families have a turkey on the table this Thanksgiving.
Please SHARE, TAG SOMEONE, or SEND ME A LEAD. Every connection could bring us one step closer to 5,000 turkeys.
Chicago, I need you. Let’s make this happen!

I can’t sit back and watch another generation of our boys be lost.
I want to build a private Christian school for boys in our neighborhood where EVERY child attends tuition-free.
Our boys deserve more. They deserve discipline, education, faith, opportunity—and people who refuse to give up on them.
I can complain about a broken system, or I can build something better.
I’m choosing to build.
I need ideas. I need partners. I need donors.
Help me figure out how we make this happen.
LOOK AT PASTOR JR.!
One of our kids from Project H.O.O.D. who I absolutely love just landed a part in Lil Rel’s new film!
They call him “Pastor Jr.” and he happens to be autistic—but autism does not get to define the limits of his future.
This is why we pour into our young people. You never know what gift is inside a child just waiting for somebody to believe in them, expose them to opportunity, and give them a chance.
Today I’m one proud Pastor.
Pastor Jr. is going to the movies! 🎬
Keep watching this young man. This is only the beginning.

America should listen carefully to people who have actually lived under communism.
Freedom, opportunity, ownership and personal responsibility are precious—and once surrendered, they are not easily recovered.
We should never become so frustrated with America’s imperfections that we embrace ideas that have failed people elsewhere.
Freedom is worth protecting. 🇺🇸foxnews.com/opinion/escaped-…
