Another #energy supplier gone. OFGEM has revoked Xcel Power Ltd's gas supply licence and YU Energy has been appointed as gas supplier of last resort. If you are a customer of Xcel Power, take a meter reading, sit tight and wait for YU Energy to contact you.
If you are on standard variable rate, take a photo of the #meterreadings with the date on it. Don't panic about #energy suppliers' websites/phone lines being very busy. Submit readings over the next few days. If you have a fixed contract, don't worry about submitting readings.

If you can't get to do a meter reading today, do it tomorrow, or Sunday, or monday. The nearer to today you do it the less chance of mis-estimates, so don't panic about missing it (either through your own or the firm's issue) just get it in as soon as you can. :)
If you are on a standard tariff, then the rate per kWh is the same 24/7. If you are on a day/night meter, then the cost per kWh is lower at night - usually between midnight and 7am but do check with your supplier as the times can vary. #electricity #EnergyPrices
