Changed squad. Changing PL tactical landscape. Same old Unai Emery finding a way to make it work. Surely the most consistently impressive coach in the league? 🧠 My #AVLFUL preview on the latest iteration of Emery’s 3-box-3 @FulhamFC will face on Saturday👇
Unai Emery marked four years in charge of Aston Villa with a statement win against Manchester City last weekend. @CottageTactico argues it's very hard to find a more consistent and impressive coaching tenure at a Premier League club in that time. 🔗 fulhamfc.com/news/2026/octob…

I’ve been moving house this week, but just caught up with the @Fulham_Focus gang discussing Coventry, Palace and Villa Bonus points if you make it to one of the most high concept Cesar Palacios puns you’ll ever hear from @dylanchavasse 🤣 🎧: pod.fo/e/6f5824
🎙️NEW POD🎙️ 🤞 Can Fulham keep their winning streak going vs Palace and Villa? 🪄 Will Oscar Bobb’s magic moment spark more reliable end product? 🤷‍♂️ Has Arbeloa proven the doubters wrong? 🤔 And who should get the nod to prove their worth headed into our next fixtures?

Coventry City seem a touch caught between wanting to play their football from last season and adapting pragmatically to the realities of the PL ⚖️ And that’s partly what makes #COVFUL today so hard to read and potentially so important! My latest preview for @FulhamFC 👇
Forward-looking full-backs, relying on Rudoni and key man Bobby Thomas. 🔍 @CottageTactico has provided his analysis of Coventry ahead of tomorrow's clash. 🔗 fulhamfc.com/news/2026/octob…

My highlight of our long awaited and much needed first win of the season in #FULHUL was the Charles-Berge partnership 💪 In a controlled performance the pair ran the show from the midfield in a more balanced way than I’ve seen before 👇 📊 Data viz analysis via Futi 🧵 1/5

Berge (RCM) is unshackled by having a reliable presence alongside him and played noticeably higher as we saw with our goal He does everything at half the speed of Charles which is great for passing control, but sometimes slows us a bit. Perfectly suits a heavy possession game 👌

This was a pretty dominant #FFC performance that was some killer finishing away from being much more convincing and much less nervy There’s work to be done ahead of them. But in Berge and Charles we have a midfield base that can compete and hopefully thrive in the PL 🤞

Nervier than it needed to be due to some very suspect finishing but a deserved 3 points from #FULHUL 💪 More importantly *hopefully* some ‘managing the lead’ demons exorcised for Alvaro Arbeloa’s men 🤞

Hull City’s structured 5-4-1 has managed to restrict clear chances against them (xGA), even if teams have had play in threatening areas (xTA) 📊 How? And what should we be aware of going the other way in #FULHUL this Saturday? My latest preview for @FulhamFC 👇

Delighted that @Fulham_Focus is back after the international break! 🥳 Less delighted that we’re already (fairly justifiably) pretty close to full panic mode 😬 🎧: pod.fo/e/6b03f3
🎙️NEW POD🎙️ 👋 Could Arbeloa survive anything other than a win against Hull? 🤔 Were our subs against Ipswich the source of our capitulation? 😬 And does our squad have the experience, leadership and physicality for a relegation battle?

The more you look at it the more #IPSFUL looks a masterclass in how not to manage a lead in the PL 🤦‍♂️ In the 56 mins prior to Ryan Sessegnon’s goal #FFC had roughly: 📈 62% possession, 52% field tilt In the 33 mins we were 1-0 up: 📉 36% possession, 18% field tilt 🧵 1/4

But there’s no arguing the fact that what was quite a structured CM showing by Berge and Charles then disintegrated 🫠 Did we batter them before? Absolutely not! It was pretty even and lacked spark in the final third. But there was at least some shape and control

Fulham have taken the lead in 3 games this season. We’ve taken just 1 point from those games That’s the =2nd worst points lost tally in the PL Each of those games saw different reactions and dynamics on the pitch. But these repeated capitulations can’t be a coincidence 😢

HT stalemate for #FFC who have at least found a regular pattern of play… The problem is that pattern seems to be to switch to Bobb isolated on the RW who then turns and passes it backwards when doubled up on More spark needed if we’re going to make something happen in #IPSFUL

Rampaging FBs have been a big part of Fulham’s identity under AA this season But just look at Leif Davis’s aggressive positioning for Ipswich last time out 👀 Could today be our turn to exploit space when we turn it over? That and more in more #IPSFUL preview for @FulhamFC 👇
A tactical look at the Tractor Boys. 🚜 @CottageTactico says Fulham can expect high intensity from Ipswich tomorrow. 🔗 fulhamfc.com/news/2026/octob…
