The conviction of Peter Murrell is the inevitable conclusion to the secrecy we fought in 2020. The CWG warned leadership, built the lifeboats, and tried to turn the wheel, but we were blockaded. Apologies aren't enough. We need structural reform NOW. 👇

Speaking with @KennyMacAskill about the death of Alex Salmond
The @AlbaParty deputy leader says he was a master tactician and strategist
He says the former First Minister was “badly treated by those he created” and was hurt by the “deviousness and callousness of individuals”

Alex Salmond - a giant of Scottish politics. He defined Scotland's story for well over 25 years. He never once strayed off message. Remarkable ability. Remarkable impact.

This past April, Israel struck a building in Syria that Iran claimed was its consulate—sparking fears of a widening regional war.
“Iranian retaliation was often theatrical, severe enough to demonstrate resolve to the regime’s hard-liners but mild enough to preclude a cycle of escalation,” @FranklinFoer reports.
“But this time, the intel suggested something worse.” theatln.tc/pY2gcyTd
I'd like to know what they consider "lobbying" and what breaking of norms has occurred. Because it seems pretty reasonable to charge someone who has explicitly supported and encouraged Hamas the day after Oct 7th.
"We've uncovered documents showing that the Attorney General's office was lobbied by the Israeli government".
Palestine Action's @HudaAmmori reveals how Israel is trying to clamp down on pro-Palestine activism in Britain.

Personally, I think it's good that people giving explicit support and encouragement for prescribed organisations, the day after that organisation committed a massacre, are facing charges.
I warned you that Starmer's "Labour" would be much worse than even the Tories in attacking civil liberties and repressing dissent.
They have instituted charges over a speech made 8 months before they came into power, which had not been charged under the Tories.
Starmer's commitment to the apartheid terrorist state is absolute - as he has frequently affirmed.

NEW: The SNP’s depute leader has insisted Scotland will never receive another Section 30 order from Westminster.
Keith Brown insisted the movement must stop playing by Westminster’s 'rules' and work to build an 'unanswerable' case of self-determination.
This is unrealistic and disregards the complexity of the conflict, particularly the legitimate concerns of Israelis. Not surprising from someone who explicitly endorsed the actions of Hamas.

By 2050 the north of Scotland will have up to 52GW of installed capacity, with potential peak demand of 3GW.
The south of Scotland will have up to 16GW of installed capacity, with potential peak demand of 9GW.
Very different dynamics for the north south divide.

I thought you might like to read a whole bunch of articles about America's new economic policy paradigm. So I put together my New Industrialist Roundup for 2024.
Enjoy!!

Genuinely disgusting to me that Murray is running defence for someone who exchanged explicit messages with a detective posing as a 15-year-old girl - purely because he serves a political purpose.
Scott Ritter is a friend of mine. I want to take head-on the "convicted sex offender" and "paedophile" narrative.
If he were a paedophile I would not be his friend.
There was absolutely no contact with any minor - in person or online
and
there were absolutely no images of children or other paedophile material viewed.
After blowing the whistle on the Iraqi WMD lies of the US and UK govts, and resigning as a UN Weapons Inspector and from the US Marines, Scott was the victim of an undercover sting operation against him.
On a fantasy roleplay website, a male officer played the role of a schoolgirl in online chat with Scott. That was the "offence".
Scott is adamant the website was adults only with proof of age requirement and he knew he was not conversing with an actual schoolgirl. Under the coercive US legal system, he took a plea bargain.
If those in power were subjected to the same levels of scrutiny and harassment as dissidents, far, far worse would be revealed.
Ghislaine Maxwell is still in jail for trafficking actual minors to persons whose identities the state conspires to conceal.

Body blows keep coming for UBI fans. $1k/month transfers had no effect on net worth or credit access. All the money was ploughed straight into consumption, recipients actually went more into debt.

It's shameful that women are having their achievements tarnished by people who engage in the same identity politics they criticise. How can anyone honestly say this is about "women"?
