Happy 250th birthday, America!
There's lots to celebrate in those 250 years, but we want to give a special shout-out to the proud traditions of creativity and free expression that make our country great.
Our nation's founders had the foresight to promote the progress of arts and sciences by protecting copyright in the earliest days of the republic.
Today, the core copyright industries contribute:
- $2.09 trillion in value to the US economy
- 11.6 million jobs to the US economy (6.1% of the private workforce)
- $272.6 billion in US exports
Happy #America250 to all!

Tristan Harris hits the nail on the head when he says: “The way we beat China is we actually get [AI] right… We don’t beat China when we roll out AI recklessly in this way.”

A big THANK YOU to our guests in Washington, D.C. this week! Producers @TheDragonFeeder, Ryan DeGard, and Denise Huth spoke with Members of Congress and their staffs about the cultural and economic impact of the creative community, and what can be done to protect the 2.32 million American workers in the film and television industry.
In July, CreativeFuture traveled to Washington, D.C. for a Congressional Creative Rights Caucus event in collaboration with the Council for Innovation Promotion and RIAA with some of the creative team from “A Complete Unknown.”
The discussion centered on the making of the Oscar®-nominated film, and featured producer Alan Gasmer, executive music producer Nick Baxter, production designer François Audouy, and Screen Engine/ASI founder and CEO Kevin Goetz.
Check out some behind-the-scenes photos from the week below!
