I am up for this. A huge game for Liverpool. One I think will map out what we are playing for in the league this season. I’ve been vocal since before the Brighton game about this feeling I have, that beating both of these teams would put Liverpool in the race for a title, despite it only being the middle of October when I said it. I am well aware how early it is in the season and I’m aware that even if we won this game, there’s a chance I may sound silly for saying it in May. But I think a win today changes things permanently. It would be a moment. One that helps us all to shake off what happened last season, it would get rid of any belief that we are miles from the top and that it might all be beyond our reach this year. Win and Arsenal would be firmly in our sights. Win, and we would find ourselves 3 points behind the champions after beating them. Win and we’d look at our form and recent results and say yes, this is becoming a serious team. The manager is right to pour cold water on it at this point in the season, it’s his job to keep the players focused on the next game and keep things grounded. We’re not managers or players, our job is to believe things are possible and convince them they are too. Saying things like this invites pressure and there’s been plenty of bookmarks on my posts but I don’t care. I’m bang up for this game I believe in the manager, I believe in the players and I know it’s possible. They’ve got our league title. They’re coming to our ground. They don’t scare me, they never have. We’re the biggest, most successful club in this country and the ones with the European cups. Straight into them. Straight to town. Up the fucking Reds

Sending off our best player for two of the softest yellow cards you’ll ever see, in a match where the integrity of the game has been called so far into question is a joke. Kavanagh could not wait to send off Gravenberch, who was imperious. Handed the win to City. #LFC.

Again you have to ask: what does this mean? These players buying into a supposed siege mentality and yet they will be immediately out of the door the moment sanctions are handed down. Fans gloating about it all. Such a bad look for the Premier League.
