The refereeing Liverpool have been subjected to, particularly at Anfield, is genuinely staggering. And Iβm tired of legitimate criticism being dismissed as βsour grapesβ before anyone even bothers to look at the evidence.
Paul Tomkins has researched this extensively, going back decades and some of his findings are genuinely ridiculous.
Consider these stats from his April 2026 study:
β’ ZERO opposition players have received a foul-related DOGSO red card at Anfield since 2009. Thatβs 325 home league games without an opponent being sent off for denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity through a foul.
β’ 3 Liverpool players received DOGSO red cards at Anfield in just 28 games under Slot. More than opposition players received at Anfield in the previous 25 years combined.
β’ Liverpool havenβt received a penalty in the opening 15 minutes of a league match with fans present since December 2012. Man City received 14 (!!) in that same period.
β’ Liverpool went 305 consecutive league matches between 2015 & 2023 without an opposition player receiving a 2nd yellow. Thatβs 8 years. Home or away.
β’ Since VAR was introduced, Liverpool have received just 2 VAR-awarded penalties for fouls. Man City received 11. Liverpool have also had 7 awarded against them.
β’ Liverpool received ZERO subjective VAR overturns in their favour before the 28th minute across approximately 260 matches. Man United received 7, Arsenal 6 & Man City 6.
β’ Salah averaged just 0.83 fouls won per 90 minutes, ranking outside the top 2,000 players in Tomkinsβ study. Anyone who watched Salah knows how ridiculous that is given how frequently heβs grabbed, pulled & manhandled.
β’ Liverpoolβs average foul free-kicks won dropped from around 12-13 per game before Klopp to just 9 after his arrival. Only Sheffield United recorded fewer in Tomkinsβ comparison.
β’ Only 51% of Liverpoolβs penalties were awarded at Anfield, compared to approximately 63% at home across the league. Some home advantage, eh?
And perhaps the most damning stat of all:
Of the 56 highly contentious league incidents Tomkins identified against Liverpool in the VAR era, 53 (95%) happened when the match was level or separated by just 1 goal.
These are game-changing decisions. Penalties, red cards & incidents that can genuinely decide matches, title races & entire seasons.
Think about Tarkowskiβs challenge on Mac Allister, Γdegaard practically playing basketball at Anfield, Senesiβs handball or Salah getting manhandled every other week without a whistle. Oh, and literally disallowing a completely valid goal at Tottenham (no, YOU let it go).
At what point do we stop pretending this is normal?
And what frustrates me most is how quickly people dismiss the conversation as βsour grapes.β As if being a Liverpool supporter somehow invalidates the evidence. You can be biased & still be absolutely right.
Iβm not suggesting these stats automatically prove some grand conspiracy, but the disparities are extraordinary. And when you actually watch the incidents themselves, itβs difficult to understand how some of these decisions are even possible.
Weβre talking about penalties & red cards. Literally the most consequential decisions a referee can make. And somehow Liverpool consistently find themselves on the wrong end of them, even at Anfield - especially at Anfield - where weβre supposedly benefiting from this enormous home advantage.
Why shouldnβt that be questioned?
Credit to Paul Tomkins for actually doing the research & documenting this over the years.

But sure, βsour grapes.β

Do you know that in the life of almost any chart, the price goes up ONLY around 10% of the time. The rest is split between lateral movements, and corrections...
But you decided TO IGNORE, that opportunity because you are simply emotionally rooting (whether by fear, or greed) for lower prices. Not only that. Then the price decides to give you a million different signs that it wants to turn around, then it actually turns around, of course giving us more signs that support the move, and finally, you decide to take action RIGHT when the move is about to end.
10% of the time... It is a precious opportunity. There is plenty of time to fool around, and short. But MAKE sure you LEARN how to recognize that brief window of time. As professional traders, we LIVE the boring, lame, and tasteless plays JUST to get the chance to JUMP in the face of the slightest possibility to ride that wave.
Time is precious... π₯·

tezos just dropped a 63x efficiency gain with the last upgrade and literally nobody outside the ecosystem
dropped from 900mb/day to 14mb/day
meanwhile your "high performance chain" needs $10k/month servers to run a node
decentralization is an engineering problem most devs are too lazy to solve

I mean that's a tweet from December.
Keep trolling this man about Chicken Masala...
The truth is, he's one of the diamond accounts on Crypto Twitter.
If we were to correct at some point in the near future. I would say the most logical place is somewhere between the Tenkan and the Kijun on the 1W. There's a WP support just right around 82K. That's an area I like. In terms of time around mid Feb perhaps, I like Feb 18th.
This would be absolutely invalidated if we close above the main WP resistance at 105K, that's the highest I can see $BTC in Jan for the time being...

I started my journey on tezos 2 and a half years ago with my anonymous account at the time (@i_now_like_tez) and one of the most interesting generative artists I stumbled upon was a Japanese artist who was creating these worm like "creatures". I was instantly attracted to this algo and started researching @qubibien.
My first acquisition was a 1/1 on tezos and it happened on May 19th 2022 with the piece 2203020454 on @versumofficial, one of my favorite pieces in my entire collection. I was also gifted a small print of this piece when I visited Qubibi at his studio in Tokyo in 2023.
My first leftover, 220623d00iAq16001600, was purchased on June 23rd 2022 on the secondary. These outputs fascinated me a lot, leading me to collect close to 350 from this collection and becoming the no.1 holder.
My first piece acquired on ETH was wwz uu15M7kj722Ho #42 which dropped on @verse_works in July 2022 as an Open Edition under the contract of wiwizn.
My first 1/1 on the ETH, pl4Y4wz523Px, was collected on April 16th 2023 on @manifoldxyz.
This wonderful algo has come to an end and what a journey it has been. I'll always cherish the hundreds of pieces I collected from this algo but I am excited for Qubibi to unleash his talent, vision and creativity and show everyone how diverse and flexible he can be as an artist! To the future π₯
It's funny that after 8 years in crypto you find accounts yet which are pure alpha on every occasion. Unbiased solid analysis and wisdom, no bs. Keep up the good work @CryptoSays
Itβs funny when I see big accounts saying βdips are for buyingβ. Nothing is WORST if you are learning, or you are blindly following a predicament without context.
Yes we are leaving accumulation areas. Prices are bullish. But some assets can tap hardcore resistances that have the potential to bring deeper and sustained corrections. (Not related to the market right now btw).
You donβt buy a correction just because, you buy it because you tap a support within a strong bull trend, and some donβt understand that, or even worst are able to see that on the chart. There will come one day where you will buy a 20% correction that will never go back up and force you to hold all the way down to 98%β¦. Know the difference, not all dips are the same!
Thanks @_ripze for accepting my offer on yet another @csrsnt masterpiece.

I wouldnt trade it for a Casey Reas CAAI which you could've bought for a fraction of this Fidenza.
I remember the desperation in reaching out through multiple channels to try to acquire Fidenza #76 (the only other Black Micro) last summer, when we realized the only other one was locked up in the 3AC collection.
Once again, patience and a bit of luck paid off, and we got Fidenza #479 in last week's auction!
