I Thought I Was Too Smart to Fall for a Crypto Scam” – I Lost $42,500
I used to read stories like this and think, “That’ll never be me.” I’m careful, I double-check everything, and I’ve been in crypto for over two years. But that’s exactly how I got caught off guard — and lost $42,500 in a matter of hours.
Here’s what happened:
A few months ago, I was invited to what looked like a promising new DeFi launch. The project had a sleek website, well-written documentation, and was “backed” by some big names (which I later learned were completely fake).
They offered a private staking pool with early access for whitelisted users. It sounded exclusive, and I didn’t want to miss out. After a few days of watching their updates and Telegram announcements, I committed.
I transferred my funds in three stages:
• $12,000 – Initial buy-in
• $18,500 – “Top-up” to unlock higher rewards
• $12,000 – Final transfer after “support” said my first two weren’t enough to activate the pool
Total: $42,500
Once the third transaction cleared, everything went silent. Website down. Telegram group vanished. Wallets emptied. No way to reverse anything.
I reached out to @Chainshielder, a team that specializes in crypto recovery, to help investigate and trace the stolen assets.
Thanks to their expertise and quick response, I was able to recover my funds.
Truly grateful for the support — thank you!
What You Should Know:
•Scammers don’t always look shady. Some of them look better than legit projects.
•Don’t let FOMO make decisions for you.
•Always test platforms with a small amount first.
•Use multi-sig or hardware wallets, and never trust DMs offering “help.
If you’ve been scammed, don’t give up. Collect your transaction history, save every screenshot, and report it. There are professionals who can help investigate, trace, and in some cases, recover your funds.
Crypto is powerful—but only when you stay cautious. I learned that the hard way.

Saudi Arabia gives Sri Lankan man death penalty for social media comment that insulted Mohammed | Not The Bee
I regret to inform you that the "moderate" Muslim nations are being "moderate" again.
The family of Anojan Sivarasa, a Sri Lankan expat who works in Saudi Arabia, is begging for his life after Anojan committed one of the worst crimes in the religion of peace.
He insulted the pedophile warlord Mohammed on Facebook.
The Mirror reports,
Footage of a young Muslim man kicking a dog which had been following Hindu pilgrims in Sri Lanka was circulated widely online in June. In a row in the comments, one Facebook user posted derogatory remarks about a Hindu deity, leading Anojan to post a response in Tamil insulting the Prophet Muhammad.
Get this:
Anojan promptly deleted his comment and posted an apology video.
That's right. Muslims insulted one of his gods, so he insulted their pedophile prophet, but he decided that was too mean, so he apologized for it.
BUT THEN, Sri Lankan Muslims who saw the post repaid that apology by FORWARDING HIS POST TO HIS SAUDI EMPLOYER.
The company promptly reported him to Saudi authorities.
Anojan was tried under Sharia Law, found guilty, and sentenced to death. For most people in Saudi Arabia, that means public beheading:
Sri Lanka's president met with Anojan's family, and they are trying through diplomatic channels to get leniency for his deleted Facebook post.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sri Lanka has said it is taking all available steps to assist Anojan. His parents have met with the president, who promised diplomatic channels were being used to try and secure a pardon for Anojan. Sri Lankan religious leaders have come together from across faiths to demand the government takes action to secure his release.
Meanwhile a legal delegation is travelling from Sri Lanka to Saudi Arabia this week to meet with Anojan's Saudi defence lawyers.
However, it's probably too late.
Saudi Arabia usually only tells families and foreign embassies after executions have been carried out.
You think the laws in the West are bad now?
Wait until Sharia becomes the majority and the beheadings start.

U.S. fighter jet strikes a cargo ship in the Gulf of Oman after its crew ignored repeated warnings and attempts to break America's naval blockade against Iran.
U.S. Central Command says the precision strike hits the stern of the Panama-flagged vessel, disabling its propulsion without injuring anyone aboard.
The military says enforcement is intensifying, with four commercial vessels disabled, 135 ships turned around and 10 tankers linked to Iran's Revolutionary Guard destroyed over the past three months.

JUST IN: FBI agents have arrested 18-year-old Sheikhdoon Abdullahi Mohamud for allegedly planning a mass shooting at the Mall of America in support of ISIS.
@Garrett_FoxNews reports that federal investigators are saying Mohamud pledged allegiance to ISIS and discussed targeting a crowded event at the mall, allegedly telling a confidential source he could "drive straight to the crowded place and start shooting."
The FBI moved in after Mohamud allegedly paid $600 to an undercover employee for an inoperable AK-47-style rifle, four magazines, and roughly 200 rounds of live ammunition, with a full investigation still ongoing.
