one of the best things about midstate and midwimble web wallets - no infura. Theres no centralised node providing everyones data. Its all decentralised via webrtc. If infura goes down all of those various web based wallets for other chains go down. Midstate and midwimble dont though!

Most blockchains sign transactions with elliptic curves. A large enough quantum computer could break them.
Midstate takes a different path: every signature is built only from hash functions. No elliptic curves anywhere.

Yesterday, I introduced @Keryx_Labs and its Proof-of-Model (PoM) approach to GPU mining.
Today, let's look at the question that could determine whether this model makes economic sense.
The GPU is not the business. Utilization is.
Owning a GPU doesn't automatically make it profitable.
Miners still pay for hardware and electricity, whether their computing power is being used or sitting idle.
Now consider where AI is heading.
Models need computing power not only to be trained, but to serve users, applications and AI agents every time they make an inference request.
That creates a different economic question for GPU networks: can mining infrastructure also serve this ongoing demand?
Here's how Keryx approaches it:
Designated model weights → Miners prove possession → The same model capacity can serve inference requests.
The aim is to connect model-weight possession to mining while putting that model capacity to work on AI inference.
Why should this matter ?
If a network can connect mining incentives to actual AI workloads, its economics may depend on more than block rewards.
It also creates a way to assess whether the computing power is doing useful work and whether anyone needs that work.
But the chain of evidence matters:
GPU capacity → Inference requests → Successful responses → Utilization → Rewards measured against operating costs.
Each step raises a practical question:
→ How often are miners actually serving requests?
→ How many requests are completed successfully?
→ Do the rewards justify hardware and electricity costs?
→ What does each inference response cost to produce?
GPU count tells us how much capacity a network has.
Utilization tells us how much of that capacity is being used.
Cost per response helps reveal whether the service can compete for real demand.
AI could create a new source of demand for compute networks, but demand alone doesn't guarantee profitable mining.
The networks that matter will need to connect useful workloads, reliable service and sustainable economics.

GPU mining may be approaching a new economic question.
Traditionally, miners contribute computing power to secure a network and earn its native asset.
But as AI adoption grows, another question emerges:
What if that same computing power could also serve real demand for AI inference?
The AI industry is moving beyond training models. It now faces the ongoing challenge of running them for users, applications, and autonomous agents.
That creates an opportunity to rethink how GPU networks generate value.
This is where @Keryx_Labs enters the conversation.
Keryx is exploring Proof-of-Model (PoM) mining, a design that connects possession of model weights with mining and AI inference.
The bigger idea is worth watching: can a mining network tie its economic rewards to useful computation and actual demand, rather than relying primarily on block rewards?
That is a much harder problem than launching another mining token.
And it's the question that makes Keryx worth understanding.

I'm paranoid about Parano1d sync. Meet v2.0.2 with faster sync
State has been the painful part. Verifying an individual segment takes milliseconds, but the time a wallet actually waits depends on P2P behavior, strict safety limits and how work is scheduled. The core can do far more than today's network shows. Getting the engineering right matters.
In v2.0.2, I made the State phase more than twice as fast in our tests. Upgraded peers now batch and compress segments while verifying each one. In one fresh mainnet comparison, State sync fell from about 59 seconds to 10 seconds.
That is one measured run, not a promise of 10 seconds on every connection. Many factors can affect the result. As more nodes and wallets upgrade, more peers will support the faster transport. You will notice the difference.
The release also includes more reliable wallet sends and consolidation fixes.

The Dash community should watch this. 👀
In this interview with the founder of Evan Duffield, Danny made a prediction that deserves more attention:
“I think privacy is going to be huge in the next cycle.”
And then:
“Privacy super cycle next time around — that's my official prediction.”
If privacy really becomes a prerequisite for broader crypto adoption, the question isn't whether privacy matters.
The question is:
What does the next generation of privacy infrastructure look like?
That's exactly why we're building DragonX ( $DRGX).
🛡️ Privacy by default
🔐 zk-SNARKs
🐉 Sietch metadata protection
🌐 Tor support
💬 Wallet-native encrypted chat
⛏️ CPU-based PoW mining
⚡ 36-second blocks
If you're a Dash supporter, privacy researcher, cypherpunk, or simply interested in where privacy crypto is heading —
watch the interview, then take a look at DragonX.

This is an important point about privacy at the network layer.
Monero’s Dandelion++ helps obscure the origin node of a transaction.
But privacy doesn't stop there.
What about the behavior of the wallet itself?
Transaction timing.
Output structure.
Transaction patterns.
Repeated behavioral signals.
Even when the transaction amount and addresses are shielded, patterns can still become useful information for analysis.
This is one of the ideas behind Sietch in DragonX ( $DRGX).
Sietch is designed as an additional privacy layer focused on metadata and transaction-structure protection — making wallet behavior and transaction patterns harder to model.
Hide the transaction.
Hide the pattern.
zk-SNARKs protect the transaction.
Sietch focuses on what can be inferred from the behavior around it.

We asked the @salvium_io team what they’re building and why it could redefine the future of privacy.
If you care about the future of financial freedom, this is one conversation you don’t want to miss.
ourcryptotalk.com/blog/salvi…
$SAL is the industry's first Layer-1 Proof-of-Work privacy chain engineered to deliver true transactional anonymity while staying aligned with real-world regulatory demands - a balance the industry has struggled to achieve for over a decade.
Built on the battle-tested CryptoNote framework pioneered by Monero, Salvium goes further - introducing next-generation innovations designed to operate and thrive in regulated environments without sacrificing user confidentiality.
And that’s just Layer 1.
On top of it, Salvium is building something many believed was out of reach: a Layer 2 ecosystem enabling fully private smart contracts, ERC-20 tokens and DeFi - on a Monero-based architecture.
For years, this was considered impossible. A decade-long challenge. A multi-million-dollar problem.
Salvium is turning that assumption on its head - and doing it faster than anyone thought possible.
This is a leap forward for privacy, DeFi, and the future of decentralized finance. $SAL

Milestone 1 — Now Live!
The network has successfully passed block 465,000.
Milestone One: Salvium Assets is now live on mainnet.
This marks the activation of user-generated Salvium Assets and the completion of the first major step toward Salvium Two.
Salvium Assets introduce a framework for creating and interacting with tokenized value on a privacy-first network, including real-world assets, ownership structures, and other on-chain representations that benefit from confidentiality and control. This lays the foundation for broader utility as the protocol continues to evolve.
All users should ensure they are running the latest versions of the software (CLI v1.1.1 or GUI v1.1.1) to remain fully synced with the network.
We want to thank everyone who participated in testnet, provided feedback, and supported the rollout leading up to this point. We encourage the community to begin exploring Salvium Assets and continue sharing feedback as usage expands.
Further updates will follow as we continue building forward.

We’ve had:
→ Private payments
→ Public DeFi
→ Tokenized real-world assets
But something was missing:
Privacy across the entire stack
Salvium changes that⬇️
→ Private transactions
→ Private DeFi
→ Private RWAs
→ Private smart contracts
And the best part?
It will all run inside a private ecosystem designed with regulation in mind.
Privacy that works in the real world.
Salvium is building the foundation for a full suite of private DeFi applications.
Not just private money -
private programmable finance. $SAL
