your boss cuts your pay in half.
same job, same hours, same bills 📉
bitcoin miners get that news every 4 years.
and nobody can stop it.
they even know the exact block it happens.
ep 7/7 of How Bitcoin Mining Works 👇
would you keep mining through a halving?
same address, two heists, one month apart.
$388m from bitget looked like a big deal until it turned out to be the warm up for $6.4b from binance
two fed members just voted for a hike. rates held at 3.75 to 4.00% anyway.
btc in the first 30 min: +0.1%.
december hike odds on polymarket: 80%.
the market heard hike and shrugged. tomorrow 13:30 cet: pce, the inflation number the fed actually watches
a year after btc's top, every major coin is still deep under its all-time high:
btc -35%
eth -52%
sol -65%
doge -89% (still a good boy)
btc dominance is around 59%.
every cycle someone says alts will catch up.
sometimes they do.
they also fall harder on the way down
a nasdaq company has been trying to withdraw $66m in bitcoin since june.
datavault ($DVLT) got paid 1309 btc and the coins never touched the blockchain.
just a balance inside one exchange database.
491 got sold back, the other are still stuck on pending.
stock fell 50% in a day.
not your keys is not a meme anymore, it is a rule.

1309.04 btc credited off-chain, 491.431 sold back = 817.6 left. withdrawal requested in june, still not completed
fed week in 3 stages:
a hold is priced at 94%, so relax.
then warsh starts talking tomorrow at 19:30 cet.
then every chart does something stupid for 20 minutes
70 years to mine bitcoin alone 💀
one new machine is 1 in 3.5 million of the network. the skeleton gets his block around 2096. your miner outlives you!
so miners team up, and the pool pays you for blocks you never found.
ep 6/7 👇
blackrock is the only one buying!
spot btc etfs last week: +$301m.
blackrock's ibit alone: +$566m.
every other fund combined: -$265m.
monday: +$110m, all of it ibit again.
eth etfs had their 4th red week in a row (-$221m).
so "etf demand" right now mostly means one ticker. worth knowing before the next headline
fed on wednesday. gdp, pce and the ecb on thursday. coinbase and strategy earnings thursday night. monthly close on saturday.
which one actually moves btc this week?
50%fed + warsh presser
0%pce inflation (thu)
50%coinbase/strategy eps
0%nothing
2 votes • Final resultsin 2009 you could mine bitcoin on a laptop.
today that same laptop would need over 100 million years to find one block.
what's the oldest thing you ever mined on?
ep 5/7 of how bitcoin works 👇
blast is shutting down. today, oct 26, is the last day to withdraw through the normal bridge page.
after that your funds aren't gone, but you'd have to call the bridge contracts on ethereum yourself.
in about 18 months miners lose half their reward overnight. same work, half the pay. the ones who survive that are the ones planning for it right now. halvings don't just cut supply, they cut out the weak operators
