I've got good news for all my mutuals and followers
It's because both Anthropic and OpenAI have their AI do everything, but AI agents are hardcore neruodivergent coded.
they fumbled the ball so fucking hard.
never underestimate a PR campaign.
AI probably has the worst PR and marketing I have ever seen in my lifetime. just a simple change in rhetoric from "this will replace all jobs" to "this will make your job 10x easier, automating the irritating and time consuming crap so you can focus on the big decisions" would've gone so long
but no
instead we got "this will destroy the world and rape you. oh, and you're a bad person for having a personal computer"

Obvious prediction: the Democrats are going to pass a bunch of versions of the BE A DECENT HECKING PERSON Act, which will be framed as something innocent but will give leftists infinite money and/or make it illegal to be right wing
"TRUMP VETOS BEING A DECENT HECKING PERSON"
Texas is basically going to be a warzone where Gov refuses to cooperate with ICE, but at least it's not a full capitulation.
🚨TEXAS RESULTS🚨Republicans retained their Texas Senate supermajority despite Democratic victories statewide and in the Texas House. The GOP-controlled Senate could block House legislation and reject Gina Hinojosa’s appointments. Expect legislative gridlock.

Texas is literally going to become a sanctuary state, I think all amnesty talk is going to be silenced very quick by Texas rapid transition to communist occupation.

Any talk of “ICE hype edits losing the election” is a twitter-siloed misread of the media normal people consume and care about. They irritated leftists on here, and that’s about the extent of it. The truth is that the GOP hasn’t adapted to the slopcannon era of shortform political content, not that it’s gone too far. The DNC did adapt, and it won. Right now, 90% of the things Dems and normies believe about “politics” are just not true, in a way that has never been the case before. Epstein eating babies with Trump, etc. Only a few years ago, the “piss tape” and “Russiagate” took intense national media coverage to develop as mass psychoses, and even then only really weathered discreditation among low-info olds. Now, the vast majority of things you hear from “apolitical normies” are some sort of schizophrenic lie derived from a momentary partisan event 6 months ago — something you, reader, forgot about a week after it happened because you mostly consume news on here.
The GOP lost among its base because of the war, gas prices, bad PR, take your pick. But if we’re talking about media strategy, it lost swing normies that it won in ‘24 because it has consistently failed to adapt to the meta of Lindsay Clancy-style TikTok parallel-reality construction. Funnily enough, this media environment — the total death of “legacy media” and “trusted experts,” supplanted by a decentralized online hive — is the exact thing many on the Right have wished for for many years. It happened… now what? As of now, nothing: hysteria is a commodity you can buy, but Republicans aren’t investing. They seemed to have missed the part of epistemic collapse where the “validity” of ideas is totally meaningless, replaced only by their ability to gain attention as a directional signal.
Trump wins nationally because he is a gravity well for media attention, a unique talent; but the GOP without him as the candidate is totally excluded from the infostream, seemingly by their own choice. Everybody laughed at the DNC buying catamites like Harry Sisson back in 2023, but that’s just part of the game now — botfarming new stock characters into the popular mind in order to run participatory ARG-style media events designed solely to drive turnout. These things don’t happen by accident, they cost money and require learned acumen.
Obviously this is only one small part of the electoral environment, but it’s one that very few people seem to be talking about. Epstein hysteria, the Cornell 7, Nolan Wells, etc. probably drove Dem enthusiasm in as big a way as Iran drove GOP unenthusiasm, and it’s an angle where the GOP seems uninterested in competing.
The entire idea of "balancing the budget" is comical when the notion of tech singularity is treated seriously.
The “Brad” ad by Sanders. Vivek’s Christmas crashout. Mike Johnson saying young white guys playing video games are why Medicaid is broke. $20 burritos. Hinson’s comments.
The only message to young white men from the GOP is “we absolutely hate you with every fiber of our being.”
No wonder the 18-29 year old white male demo shifted 45 points.
If the GOP is going to win again, it needs to be the party of Brandon Gill and Jace Yarborough.
They are the model.
Things HAVE TO change.
They're unironically right.
They're going to sell elderly care as requiring mass migration, even if robots could do it better and safer.
China faces the same problem, it's why it's pretty much on China to save the world from western communism.
The fundamental issue with deindustrialization is that even if people support industry in abstract, they are majority NIMBY.

Vance giving a "we fucked up" post (rare), pinning the blame on neocons, and declaring war on them.
He's the guy. 2028.
One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up.
So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us."
Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026.
There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true.
But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone.
Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were:
1) End the war
2) Focus on cost of living/inflation
3) Put America First
4) Change our relationship to Israel
Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.)
In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you.
The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night.
If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest.
But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there.
I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.
These guys can be brought around because Democrats will most definitely do a very limited look into Epstein (Basically air out every Biden found but still couldn't pin on Trump) while ignoring the rest of Epstein's network.

REPORTER: The Vice President wrote a very lengthy post about how the war impacted the results last night. Did you know he was going to do that?
TRUMP: I know how he feels about it. I thought it was good.
This all could have been avoid if GOP embraced gamers instead of scapegoating them.
i believe we are going to enter an era before the singularity where:
- hatred for technology is going to increase exponentially (already happening)
- more communities will be mobilized against AI / SI / AGI
- the cost of AI subscriptions will increase exponentially due to efforts to block data center buildouts
- GPUs could be considered illegal to own without a license
- tech leaders will be scrutinized and forced to pause progress
despite this, we can still build a better future. we can’t doom, ever.
High interest is also a major factor.
If you cut inflation down from 4% to 3%, but people pay more in interest on car loans, home loans, credit cards. They will feel like they have less money even if inflation is down.
There are lot of people coping about this. We can primarily blame the war and its economic fallout while also acknowledging that there are other factors at play.
According to analysis from the New York Fed, tariffs raised costs by 3% as of February 2026. By August, that effect decreased to 2% – because SCOTUS struck down the tariffs. Public dissatisfaction with tariffs is evident in Trump's approval rating and midterms exit polls. It's clearcut.
Moreover, American actually lost manufacturing jobs since the tariffs! Some predicted this would happen, given the strain the tariffs placed on American manufacturers. So the "tariffs as a jobs program" thing hasn't appeared to work.
This doesn't mean we need to be categorically anti-tariff. It just means Trump overdid it and the economy, objectively, suffered. And if you want to own the economic fallout from the tariffs because you think somewhere down the line America will start benefitting from them, then do so – let's just be honest about the impact tariffs have had on the economy in the last two years.
