OR some artists could just be more honest & reasonable with their commissions & prices, actually prioritise & do the work they're getting paid for in a reasonable amount of time and properly communicate with the people paying them.

Commission scams are also part of the problem. That and bullying, stealing other people's art, SOME artists being actively problematic, dismissing boundaries, etc.
All these issues are slowly killing the community and have been even before AI.
This is sad but true, I'm afraid. Some of the artists being targeted are kids.
Some left altogether because they couldn't take the bullying. I've seen it first hand and been through it myself.
I've been called slurs and told to off myself twice. It can get rough out there.
Both are AI
The first image uses a very common AI "artstyle", and the braids are uneven.
The second one has a finger missing and again, like the first image, the way the braids are inconsistent.
I found my old Wattpad account and I realised One Punch Man was where I had my first awakening. The day I started making LGBTQ+ OCs was when I was more actively part of that fandom lmao
Damn, I'm really going to miss seeing Fenyo's art. He's one of the best Dragon Ball artists I've known and has been one of my idols and inspirations for a long while.
I can only hope he's able to have the peace of mind he deserves

Reason is possibly revealed in his blog: He believes chasing impressions pushes people more towards extreme posts. And staying in means living by the numbers, worrying about backlash, and risking a freeze or lost trust. He’s choosing peace of mind over online extremism.
