Fear no more the heat o' the sun,
Nor the furious winter's rages;
Thou thy worldly task hast done,
Home art gone, and ta'en thy wages. 😭 💔

He loved the people, and the people loved him.
As evident in this video.
82 years old.
Fighting cancer.
In crazy august heat.
Still belting it out 100% and entirely full of joy.
And the crowd ( once again) showed him that love in return.
RIP Donnie❤️

In 1980 our class went on a field trip to KTWO Radio in Casper, WY. Mr Bob Price gave as us a tour and then passed out random 45 RPM records as gifts . The 45 I received was this one, "Ah! Leah!" by Donnie Iris. A real banger.
Donnie Iris has passed away at the age of 83. I still have the 45 somewhere around here.

I looked him up. I remember “The Rapper”. Fun song. RIP Donnie.
I know you weren't a big fan of Donnie Iris but his death today has devastated Pittsburgh and many of your fans. His last performance despite having just gone through radiation was still spot on despite sitting in a chair.
