Been thinking on which Ollie Reed clip to add to the conversation and tbh it has to be this from The Big E. Absolutely steaming dressed as Father Christmas, tries and fails to talk about his favourite film, inexplicably punches a mirror

This was how he was when I first met him (to talk about Lisztomania) and I'd never seen anything or anyone like that. Not even a photo of him. And he didn't do drugs; just five steps ahead of anyone else with that holographic brain
Ken Russell talking about the gauze people have for filtering upsetting content that I’ve always visualized!! very interesting to see someone else speak about this

Something I've really appreciated about this re-release is how much the gals playing the nuns absolutely smash it. They deserve their flowers! And feathers 🪽
There's this extra in THE DEVILS holding a giant white feather in the church scene who is genuinely the hottest woman I've ever seen and the film treats it like it's nbd cos every other person there is hot af too. Generationally sexy motion picture

I’m ngl to you that period in the 90s - 2005, Eastenders might’ve been the only thing that superseded football. That was top tier British television man
In 2001, the BBC got Barcelona, Liverpool and UEFA to delay a UEFA Cup semi-final by 15 minutes so viewers could find out who shot Phil Mitchell in EastEnders. Nearly 20 million people watched the reveal before switching over to the Nou Camp. Peak British television.
