Does anybody remember when most men always carried a handkerchief with them all of the time?
My dad and his brothers all did and my grandfathers and their brothers did.

Alabama QB commit Trent Seaborn responds to statement made by Ty Simpson:
“Everybody would just remember me as the guy who took all this money and went to Miami or Tennessee for his last year. But I was a captain. I put my hand and footprints in the cement at Denny Chimes. I would have lost everything that I built at Alabama.” - Ty Simpson
I didn't think Alabama had much chance of beating Indiana because I'm incapable of lying to myself.
I didn't expect the coach to throw any chance of keeping it respectable away in the first quarter and to see players on the defense quit.
BTW Grubb and Kapilovic have to go.
Giving out charity spots in the playoffs is ridiculous.
These last 2 games haven't even been entertaining.
Something just dawned on me.
Navy run blocks with about twice the effort that Alabama does.
Reminds me of the line in the Rudy movie "I wish God would put your heart in some of my players' bodies".
It wouldn't bother me in the least if the committee simply said they think Notre Dame is better than Alabama and Miami.
The total nonsense about why they have them where they are is another story.
Hunter Yurachek is a moron.
An old mug I had from before 1992 and before they invented another championship from 1941.
Which is why I have never once mentioned how many NCs Alabama has.
They should drop the 1941 claim. It's not like we need it.

Would have appreciated ABC bringing in its officiating consultant to explain the targeting call. Looks like Burks led with the shoulder but the WR comes down on the front of his helmet. Isn’t the indicator lowering the head to strike with the top?

Photos like this always make me pause and reflect. I’m sure it’s the same for many of you.
I try to imagine Memorial Day for this family vs. my family and many other families across America.
Our family’s Memorial Day will involve kids playing baseball in the yard, maybe a bike ride, and a BBQ—hopefully, some relaxation and joy.
But to that, Mom, Memorial Day brings pain and sorrow.
If I had a chance to say something to that Mom & to that little baby, it would be something like...” thank you. Thank you for everything that you’ve given up for this country.” And possibly a big hug.
John F. Kennedy said it best: “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter the words but to live by them.”
To me, appreciation and remembrance for all those who have given their lives for our country and the families who have lost loved ones are to live our lives rooted in loving each other in our actions and words.
So every day (not just Holidays)...let’s be kind. And give a lot of big hugs to your loved ones.
Everyday.
