Sadly didnt found a buyer yet, tomorrow we have to visit again A.M Vet Clinic for Lilith's Sutures (stitches) to get removed from her belly after her Surgeries so today till tomorrow before Clinic I hope my MAYC will get sold to pay them some % at least. Otherwise my last choice is to Weth it even if I don't want that because that means I'll need more funds to find for the rest bills and this stress is killing me already. 1 your assets are/were never ON your ledger In the simplest form, the blockchain is nothing more than a decentralized ledger(database) A ledger keeping track of which keys can unlock which funds Because that is what addresses/wallets are They are derived from the secret keys and ‘ownership’ is nothing more than whoever can unlock these funds/assets Which means, whoever holds or has controle over the keys that can unlock assets, is the owner (if you can move it you own it) Hence the “not your keys, not your funds” line So, these keys are really important. Those you want and need to keep secure Because whoever has them can unlock any and all funds those keys grant access to That’s what hardware wallets are for. They keep your keys secure But they don’t hold funds or assets Remember, everything lives on-chain So when you signed an approval with your keys(using your hardware wallet) You said: I grant permission to this one contract to access all my weth or all my MAYC nfts to move them on my behalf This is necessary, because if you want to sell assets on a public marketplace, these contracts need to be able to match a bid against your offer If they did not have permission to move assets on your behalf, they would have to send you an email, or try to reach you any other way to let you know there was an interested party and they you would have to sign then and there or even interact with the bidder directly But by granting this permission, these contracts can match and move your assets when the terms are met But it also means you are trusting these contracts to behave correctly You hand them access to your assets with the promise they wont misuse this access. And only use it to match orders Unfortunately, sometimes there are bugs in these contracts as was the case this morning Someone found a bug in one of these contracts, exploited it and managed to use all those access permissions people had granted it, to move the assets to wherever they wanted them to move
