Active time battle is literally not turn based: turns are fully discrete events unique to each participant. These games are /menu based/, not turn based as everyone gets to act in real time as their gauge fills. That is not turns!
People who insist FF should only be turn based are wrong and stupid but people like you who look you dead in the eye and say 4 to 9 AREN'T turn based are just unhinged liers.

There’s nothing wrong with contempt for the medium. Lots of great criticism and great art has been a product of contempt for the medium. You all need to grow up and stop tying your self worth to people giving the proper reverence to a work of fiction.

I got detention my freshman year because I made a joke during Lit class that I’d be dead too if I eloped at 13 with a 18 year old. My teacher 1st argued and said she was 14 and then I found the exact part where it says “nearing her 14th bday” and THEN I was being disruptive 😭🤣
Romeo & Juliet met, married, and died in 4 days. A mess.

h-how could manga fans possibly hold [reactionary opinion]? don't they realize it goes completely against [shonen jump protagonist's vague sense of justice and social equity which i've extrapolated to include all of my progressive positions]?

They have to compete with the out of print First Fantasy Campaign, the other definitive history of the earliest days of D&D, put out by some world-class bigots.
the fact that this is an actual valid historical document that records in detail the extent to which the original dungeons & dragons was based on gross amounts of codified bigotry—and was put out by wotc, no less—is honestly remarkable

my hot take is that if you only play constructed, you are the exact same as "commander only" players.

The oldheads have a point Modern anime fight scenes may have better animation on a technical level but in terms of actual directing and choreography older anime was better if this was made today it would have a billion effects and you wouldn't be able tell what's happening

You're cheering. An Israeli and Palestinian student are gonna sing What Is This Feeling from Wicked at eachother and you're cheering.
‘Glee’ is officially coming back after Disney+ and Hulu handed the reboot a series order. The move has been on the cards for some time with co-creator Ryan Murphy discussing its potential return. Full details here: deadline.com/2026/10/glee-re…

I don’t think you should kill people for that either, no
"for kissing" they had sex inside the holiest mosque on the face of the earth, why do we just lie for no reason?
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Saudi Interior Ministry said the pair were executed for an "indecent act" (fahisha) inside one of Makkah's mosques but gave no details confirming sex or identifying it as Masjid al-Haram. The man's family stated they were not married and did not know the woman. spa.gov.sa/N2701392 jagonews24.com/en/national/ne… muslimnews.com.ng/2026/10/20/did…

noteworthy that the ADL did not summon the courage to name *who* used the slur “Shylock”
The term “Shylock” is rooted in a longstanding antisemitic stereotype. Regardless of intent, its use can reinforce harmful tropes about Jews and normalize language that has long been used to target the Jewish community.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The term was used (for at least the second intent in as many years) by President Trump. forbes.com/sites/siladity… Important context to point out the user of the term regardless of intent.

I think it’s because of the number of times he wrote something that wasn’t particularly interesting or well executed, actually.
The majority of JJK discourse comes from people not liking that he didn't write the obvious thing to write at any given moment or turn

What kinda “commie” would advocate in favor of feudal monarchy over bourgeois revolution 😩
1. Overthrows dictator and the people then choose Dalton to lead them 2. Defeats Enel which allows the displaced native population to regain their land 3. Alabasta monarchy never fell and civil war was a bourgeois coup attempt. 4. Overthrows dictator and people choose King Riku.

Say what you will about the Italian presence on the Internet, at least they’re the only former axis power that isn’t weirdly condescending about how important it is to unquestioningly follow rules.

You can tell who hasn't read the Golden Land arc, huh
It is incredible that no matter how much the anime details it and you explain it to them step by step, these morons are going to continue not understanding this, this makes you rethink what kind of people you debate with on the internet
