I think going to other people’s birthday weekends are fun, and if someone is just having events all weekend for it without leaving town, you can still have other plans without completely missing the party

Some of us have lived in places other than New York and figured out that we still like New York the best? I like living in a city where I don’t need a car and can easily visit family in NJ on the weekends

Also, I have a lot of medical issues and all of my doctors are at one hospital in NYC and being able to take a 15 minute subway to get to them provides a lot of peace of mind

I think the misconception that nyc is a transient adult playground is what makes people ask questions like these. you have to remember that some people are actually from here, cost of living is the issue not people being close minded about uprooting their lives…
