Jaylen Lloyd won't be the first from his family to compete athletically at Nebraska.
His mom - @ddlloyd07 - was a Track & Field All-American for the #Huskers
Some big shoes to fill, @LloydJaylen 👟🌽

Time for giving back. Thanks to all our sponsors and volunteers. Happy Thanksgiving @PACEOmaha @bpoaofomaha @LpoaOmaha
This proud UNO Goodrich graduate appreciates the opportunity as a first generation college student to get my degree that put me on a road to a Master’s degree and career in Omaha. Going the distance takes discipline and effort. Thanks Goodrich!
Happy golden birthday 🥳 to @UNOmaha Goodrich program-a state-funded scholarship that’s launched careers of many local elected, biz, nonprofit leaders &more. Check out its journey … @GoodrichUnomaha @unothegateway @UnicamUpdate nebraskaexaminer.com/2022/09… via @NE_Examiner
One week ago, a federal grand jury ruled that @OmahaPolice Chief Todd Schmaderer, denied my wife (@KathyBelcastro) a 2018 promotion out of retaliation. It was an 8-0 decision in favor of my wife.

During my 28 years in law enforcement, I've protected political leaders of all stripes.
This is the type of Sheriff I will be.
I will be fair. I will judge without bias or prejudice. I will protect all Nebraskans no matter their backgrounds or beliefs.
-The Omaha Community Service, “Above and Beyond the Call of Duty” award in 2015 for my work with area youth.
-The Metro Young Latino Professionals Association Public Servant of the Year in 2019.
-The Omaha Coalition of Citizens’ Patrols (OCCP) Officer of the Year in 2012.
Body-worn cameras protect citizens, but they also protect cops against false allegations.
I was actively involved in bringing officer-worn body cameras to the Omaha Police Department. I believe transparency is vital to establishing trust in the community.
Non political tweet but still very very important:
The 1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers are the best college football team of all time. There. I said it.
10 Reasons 1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers Were CFB's Greatest Team of All Time: lostlettermen-prod.elasticbe… Yes, OF ALL TIME.
When I was a kid, I knew the police officers that patrolled my neighborhood. They knew our names. They asked us how we were doing in school. They knew our parents and would even stop for coffee and talk.
This is what we need to get back to. Community policing is the answer!
I come from a family of cops. My uncle Al was a cop. I have fond memories of him walking his beat on South 24th street, laughing and talking with neighborhood kids in uniform. I remember him at community and volunteer events.
This is the vision of policing I want to bring back.
When people talk about police reforms that work, @PACEOmaha should always be mentioned.
I'm incredibly proud of PACE and have been involved with it from the very beginning. I hope other cities continue to follow our lead and create youth athletic programs like ours.
