‘Guys. We chose a light skinned man over the canonical dark skinned options. So it gave us a really neat opportunity to lecture the AUDIENCE on how dark skinned men often get overlooked in favor of light skinned men to appease white people’

So we went from the Guardians don't understand racial dynamics on Earth and how unfair it is to ask a black man if he's afraid.... to the Guardians specifically chose John because he's light skinned and would have an easier time being accepted by white people..... WTF?

He's definitely a better strategist,
but he's not as inspirational as Superman.
Batman's pragmatism makes him rude, but Superman's optimism makes you want to continue to fight.

Watched the first half hour of “Superman” — the latest one — and it feels fake, forced, tone deaf and depressing.
Zero adults in it. Just narcissistic kids.
The lead actor is handsome and sweet and misused I think.
Hard to watch contemporary stuff. No soul. Worse than that.

Because they said
"We can't have six white guys and Wonder Woman save the world."
Hence them two being cut
and replaced by John Stewart and Shayera.

I don't know where to start with these comments, but between hiring a writer who fundamentally misunderstood Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow's ending and now this, James Gunn's decision-making process for creatives is absolutely fucked.

This is the problem here .. Why can’t we have good writing and good character development along with space fantasy sci fi with constructs spectacle? Green Lanterns is literally supposed to be and feel like the Star Wars of DCU.

This doesn't work if you don't build up coast city or the tragedies that led to his descent
Kyle Chandler as Parallax Hal Jordan would be an excellent choice as the main villain for a Justice League DCU movie.
He could bring so much weight to the role, and if they build him up properly, Parallax could be the DCU’s Thanos-level villain — someone who feels like a massive threat to the entire Justice League.
Nigga say you. You retarded fuck. Hal fucking Jordan outsold Batman once upon a time. You are a fake fan who never read the source material and larps as a DC fan just to shill. If you weren't, you would know that people did care. Fuck You and fuck lanterns
Mr. J retweeted
I need Lanterns fans to understand that a show can be matured and layered while also bringing comic book elements, it does not have to be one or the other. You dismissing me because I want to see Lantern action and decent constructs not hours of telling and not showing, is wild

This is the same nigga who considered Flash to be a masterpiece and the best superhero film he ever watched.
You should never take his opinion seriously
Doing this to Hal's dad kills every argument anyone ever made for what the writers did in MOS with Jonathan. Bruce's dad is going to be Martha's killer in BATB isn't he? Gunn and his team now tearing down the Parentage as well as character assassinations. Add it to the list
Lanterns just gave a much darker explanation for the death of Hal Jordan’s father.
SPOILER:
Episode 7 reveals that Martin Jordan’s fatal plane crash was a suicide attempt, fundamentally changing how Hal understands the man he spent his life idolizing.
But Tom King says the idea actually grows out of a question that has existed in the comics for years.
TOM KING: “He could have ejected from that plane and decided to land it, and that killed him.”
King says the comics have always left readers with the question of why Martin chose the plane over returning to his family.
Lanterns simply offers its own answer.
It’s an incredibly dark change, but I like that it doesn’t completely rewrite Hal’s history. It takes something that was already there and asks why.
Went from a love story between Carol and Hal that ends up cosmic. To "Yeah that old white racist probably fucks aliens in his spare time". Jesus Hollywood Lib writing loves to mess up a good thing.

Paranoid, small-minded, small-town ranchers who indiscriminately murder aliens like Macon and his cronies do in "Lanterns" are literally the kind of people Pa Kent sacrificed himself to protect Clark from in "Man of Steel".
This is arguably the dumbest video I've ever seen. Holy shit. Hollywood needs a reality check
Mr. J retweeted
If this series came out today, DCU shills would be whining online and boycotting it for “Not Understanding Superman”. They’d probably also call him an aura farmer.

Batman kills in the comics all the time. They just say he don’t
Irl there’s no way you can be a superhero and not kill because people will force it on you just to survive or to save others. Both Nolan and Zack tackled this in their movies.
If someone was firing at you with a mini-gun, would you not fire back?!?
Let's stop with the childish thinking please.
Batman kills. He ABSOLUTELY f'n does.
How do you know that one of the thugs he beats down doesn't fall and hit his head on the ground and die?
You can't brutalize people the way that Batman does and ensure 100% no casualties.
