it's debatable whether "democratic socialist" in imperialist countries has ever been different from "nordic model" guys (anything DSA ever produces will be to the right of those!), but we def shouldn't indulge the illusion that they're different now. my preferred term is Leftlib

it's funny that "Democratic Socialism" as something distinct from "Social Democracy" (both far from what communists mean by socialism) has been tried very few times, and its clearest living practitioner was called a dictator by mamdani + is being Authoriarian-ly locked up in NYC

Lenin Sovyet devriminin lideri, Sun Yat-sen ise Çin'in ilk Cumhurbaşkanı.
Onlar hiç tanışmadılar.
Fakat her ikisi de birbirinin yazılarını okuyup eylemlerini takip etti.
Lenin, Sun Yat-sen'i şu sözlerle övüyor:
"Sun Yat-sen'in yazısının her satırı militan, dürüst demokratik anlayışla doludur. O, "ırk" devriminin yetersizliğini kavramıştır. Cumhuriyetin yanı sıra tam demokrasi. Emekçilerle ve sömürülenlerle sıcak dert ortaklığı, onların hakkına ve gücüne inanç... Şikayet etmeyen, sadece eşitlik ve özgürlüğü düşlemeyen, Çin'in zalimlerine karşı mücadele etmesini bilen biri..."
...
Her ikimiz de aynı çağın evlatlarıyız,
Ülkelerimiz aynı kıta üzerinde.
Aynı hasretti bizi yıllarca peşinden sürükleyen
Ve bizi birbirine yakınlaştıran.
Ne kadar isterdim bilsen,
Senin ayaklarının izinden yürümeyi.
Binlerce kilometre uzaktan bile,
Düşüncelerimiz kardeşçi buluşuyor...
Büyük adamların dostluğu ebedidir...

I come from a Star Trek family. My mom grew up watching the original series, & my grandfather called her, a skinny kid, "Bones" after Dr. McCoy. My brother & I came up with TNG (our childhood dog's name was Mr. Worf), & as an elder millennial, Picard was *my* captain. Stewart played Picard with a perfect balance of stoicism, integrity & compassion that was reflected in how he lived his life. What a loss.

Heres the deal, its never been about Luka’s defense. If you believe that then I have a unicorn I would like to sell you. Defense is a smoke and screen for these bias media people who choose to not like Luka to be able to openly screw him over. So lets drop the bs…
"When it comes to the MVP & Luka we gotta stop talking about defense. There's been plenty of MVPs that didn't play defense. (Nikola Jokic) with three...Steve Nash."

Austin Reaves isn’t just starting hot… he’s putting up HISTORIC efficiency.
106 points on 81.74% true shooting through four games. That’s the most efficient 100-point start to a season since at least 1982-83.
Above prime Steph. Above Barkley. Just look at the names below him 😳🔥

Luka will enter TOP 4 all time Lakers with most 40 point games already this season. He became a Laker less than 2 years ago. 🤯
At the same time he also holds a record for most 40 point games in Mavericks history. 👀
He is 27 years old.
