This story is extremely important:
A whistleblower revealed that Brazil's far-right Bolsonaro family dynasty met with Meta to discuss US plans to interfere in Brazil's election, to prevent Lula from winning.
Lula's Facebook and Instagram accounts were censored a few days before the first round of the presidential election.
This had a huge impact on the election, because Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, which are all owned by Meta, are the most popular apps in Brazil, and are hugely influential all across Latin America. (Jair Bolsonaro's son Flávio was declared the winner of the first round of the vote, by a narrow margin.)
Meta later admitted that Lula's accounts had been restricted, but it claimed that this was supposedly due to a "technical error"...
The whistleblower who disclosed this is Nadia Beller, a Bolivian journalist who was almost killed by hitmen hired by Fernando Cerimedo, a far-right Argentine political operative who oversees election interference, bots, and disinformation campaigns.
Cerimedo is closely linked to the US government and has worked for pretty much every right-wing leader in Latin America. He was photographed with Donald Trump Jr. and members of the Bolsonaro family, and he received an award at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida a few months before he was arrested for the failed assassination attempt against Beller, his pregnant ex-girlfriend.

Kamala Harris still won't say genocide. She has the blood of Palestinian children on her hands.
Kamala Harris says her and Biden’s administration should have acted “sooner and more forcefully” regarding Israel’s attack on Gaza — and that the Trump administration “offers Netanyahu a blank check”:
“America has at times fallen short on [moral obligation to human rights and international law]. Most recently, the failure to use our leverage to curtail the Israeli government's horrific conduct in the war in Gaza, both under the current administration, which offers Netanyahu a blank check, and our administration before, where we should have acted sooner and more forcefully.”

What can the U.S. learn from China’s fight against poverty? :cn:
Nearly 800 million people lifted out of extreme poverty. Entire communities transformed through investments in housing, infrastructure, healthcare, and education.
China made poverty alleviation a national priority. Meanwhile, the U.S. continues to pour enormous resources into war while millions struggle to meet their basic needs.
What if we invested in people instead?

If Kamala Harris actually gave a shit about Gaza she'd have been speaking out since the day after the election.
She's only doing this now because she wants to run for president. If she thinks this isn't going to follow her, she's in for quite a surprise.

I don't know man...maybe you should have held a vote on the war. You know, like the Constitution requires?

The politically motivated invasion of the home of @IlhanMN should be condemned by all who believe in human rights and the rule of law.
Hitler’s Gestapo, the East German Stasi, Fascist Italy’s OVRA, Pinochet’s DINA, Stalin’s NKVD, and Trump’s DHS have all been used to harass and oppress the political opponents of the authoritarian leaders that commanded them. (The Gestapo and DHS included an explicitly racist element.)
All but DHS (and ICE) have been dismantled and relegated to the moral trash bin of history. It is time to complete the process.

This charming young settler’s message: Jewish terrorists should be able to exercise their God-given right to burn down Palestinian homes in peace and safety.

Host Cuts Interview After Israeli Settler Discusses Burning Palestinian Homes
During a broadcast, host Yinon Magal abruptly ended an interview with a member of the terror hilltop youth.
The exchange began with Magal attempting to link an attack to the young man's illegal settlement outpost, though the youth clarified it was not as close as suggested.
The situation escalated when the settler complained that hilltop youth are punished for burning Palestinian homes, comparing their treatment to anti-government protesters.
Arguing that the law is applied unequally, he questioned why hilltop youth face severe consequences for burning a house, while 'Kaplanist' demonstrators who burn cars can do whatever they want.
When asked if burning a house was acceptable, the youth never answered. Magal quickly reclaimed the microphone and closed the interview.

I’m 50. For our whole lives America has been told populist New Deal-style economics are fringe & “far left” rather than mainstream and in the actual center of public opinion.
The gaslighting machine is finally losing some of its power — which is why the machine’s owners are mad.

Some “charities” pouncing on the smallest and most traumatized survivors of Israel’s holocaust in Gaza want to make sure they never say a mean word about the colonizers who wiped out their families, starved them, or took their limbs.
A U.S. charity in Gaza is worried that teachers at its schools might stray from a curriculum it says promotes peace and tolerance, so it plans to record classroom conversations and use artificial intelligence to flag speech deemed “hateful” or “inciting.” apnews.com/article/gaza-chil…

Israel invoked the Hannibal Directive, killing Israeli citizens on Oct 7 rather than allow them to be taken hostage and exchanged for Palestinian hostages. That makes Israel directly implicated in what Raskin calls “the deadliest mass attack on Jews since the Holocaust.”
Israel has additional complicity in the fact that Oct 7 would never have happened had Israel not placed Gaza’s two million Palestinians in what amounts to the largest concentration camp since the Holocaust.
Three years ago today, Hamas terrorists launched a mass terror attack on Israeli civilians, murdering nearly 1,200 Israeli men, women and children, including Jews, Christians and Muslims, in their communities and homes. Today the world remembers the victims of this slaughter, the deadliest mass attack on Jews since the Holocaust, and seeks an end to the savage cycles of terror, war and destruction in the Middle East.

Every time the hostage deaths are lamented, Israel must now be credited for the majority of them.
