UKHSA, RCPCH, Clinical lead for covid in children, all tried to aggressively shut down debate and research into the possibility covid was responsible blaming adenovirus and "immunity debt" and engaging in unprofessional personal insults
Remember the "mysterious" hepatitis outbreak in UK kids that baffled experts back in 2022? The one we were told was due to adenovirus (or even strawberries, allergies, and lockdowns)? The one that labeled ppl mentioning the C word as fearmongerers? Turns out it was #covid19 .

Some suggestion that there is asymptomatic infection with #monkeypox
In stored samples of 224 men, 3 anorectal specimens were positive for MPX PCR. Patients denied symptoms or any known exposure to person with MPX. Follow-up samples 21-37 days later were negative for MPX.
retrospective testing in an STI clinic in Antwerp finds 4 of 60 swabs positive for monkeypox. One misdiagnosed as herpes, 3 persons asymptomatic. "Our findings suggest that identification and isolation of symptomatic persons alone may not be sufficient" medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

Personally I would not fund anyone who failed to identify from the mountain of available evidence - the obvious. Covid is airborne and HCWs need RPE.
