It’s been 9 days since EA shut down BioWare🚀 Here’s a recap of what happened: ✅EA shut announced shutting down BioWare and cancelling Mass Effect 5 ✅Various ex-staff and talents showed support to BioWare and condemned the decision to cancel the next Mass Effect ✅Internal trailer leaked showing a very promising concept in top quality ✅It was stated that the game would be set over 600 years from the original trilogy, and ties with both the trilogy and Andromefa ✅Feels like James Bond meets Hitman in terms of mission design ✅The game would allow you to generate a whole timeline based on what you chose in the trilogy, so that each player experiences the main story with a significantly altered journey based on prior events ✅Reports claimed the studio shut down due to the Saudi Arabia acquisition as former management was happy with the game, and it wasn’t in any development hell, but after the acquisition, new management just wants to make sports games and online slop ✅Canadian politician Avi Lewis wants the Canadian government to fund BioWare and save it from EA ✅Fans launched #SaveMassEffect petition which amassed over 280,000 within days, and raised over $5000 in 15 minutes to light up billboards in Times Square, EA HQ and in front of The Game Awards calling to save Mass Effect ✅Actors Jennifer Hale and Mark Meer supported the petition and hoped for someone to buy the IPs and save the game, while also calling out EA as they never have understood what BioWare is all about ✅On N7 Day (November 7) players will be playing the game on Steam to push its concurrent play count and make a statement SAVE MASS EFFECT 🫡🪐
