Celebrities are very good at making advertising famous.
The harder question is whether they make the brand famous.
When the star owns the memory and the brand doesn’t, somebody may have paid a very expensive media bill for somebody else’s fame.

Why is credit card interest treated as a taxable "service" when standard loan interest is exempt? This is pushing middle-class consumers straight into debt traps. Time for a rational cap and GST exemption on finance charges.

Credit card interest in India is already astronomical 42% APR +on top of that, 18% GST is slapped on the interest amount, pushing the effective burden to nearly 50%!

At this year’s US Open, close to 100 content creators received credentials as the tournament expanded its creator programme beyond traditional sports media.
Wimbledon is taking a different line for 2027.
No dedicated accreditation category for influencers or content creators. Tighter enforcement around equipment that could interfere with play. Creators can still attend, just without a special access lane.
Same sport. Different brand instinct.
The US Open is betting that greater creator access expands the audience.
Wimbledon is betting that protecting the experience protects the brand.
Neither approach is automatically right or wrong.
The interesting question is:
What happens when the marketing of an experience starts changing the experience itself?
Reach matters.
So does restraint.
Otherwise, marketing risks becoming the real double fault.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar has landed in a controversy after a video of him purportedly pressuring a woman IPS officer to halt action against illegal soil excavation in a village in Solapur went viral on social media.
The incident reportedly occurred two days ago in Karmala taluka's Kurdu village, where sub-divisional police officer Anjana Krishna had gone to act on complaints of illegal 'murrum' excavation — a material widely used in road construction.
In the video, shared by many on social media, Pawar is heard speaking to Krishna from Jagtap's phone. "I can understand what you are saying, but I am unable to figure out if I am talking to the deputy Chief Minister. Can you please call me on my number directly?" the IPS officer asked.
Her reply apparently made Pawar furious. He shot back, threatening action against the IPS officer. "Ek min, main tere upar action lunga (I will take action against you. I am myself talking to you and you are asking me to call you directly. You want to see me. Take my number and make a WhatsApp call. Itna aapko daring hua hai kya (Do you really have that much daring)?" the Maharashtra Minister said.
