And that’s a wrap on my #GirlsTakeover! It’s been an amazing and inspiring experience. Thank you for having me!
An inspiring conversation with Mirja, the Deputy Head of Mission, who shared her journey as a woman in leadership and offered valuable insights from her own experiences💪
I took the lead at our weekly all-staff meeting, where each team shared updates on their work across the Embassy. I also gave a presentation on girls’ rights and how climate change affects them disproportionately.
Next up was a visit to the AWSAD safe house, which helps women who have experienced SGBV. The safe house is doing such amazing work supporting these women. It was a truly inspiring experience! 💪
And I even got to sign the wall alongside the other ambassadors🇪🇹
Straight from the handover with Ambassador Sune Krogstrup into a meeting with Daisy, the Ambassador for a day in Kenya @denmarkinkenya. I feel lucky to be part of a global network of strong, engaged young women! #girlstakeover
Meet Rodas, our Ambassador for the Day!
She’s taking over the X as she visits the Danish Embassy as part of the global #GirlsTakeover campaign, celebrating girls’ leadership and empowerment👩💼💪
Follow along throughout the day!
Yesterday, I had the honour of presenting my credentials to 🇸🇸 President Kiir @SouthSudanGov and officially becoming the 🇩🇰 ambassador to #SouthSudan.
Great to meet with Ambassador Mohamed Belaiche, AU envoy to Sudan. Discussed the situation in #Sudan and how to help create conditions conducive to a ceasefire. 🇩🇰 fully supports the efforts of the Quintet and @_AfricanUnion leadership in advancing a sustainable peace in Sudan.
Congratulations @FitsumAdela with your appointment. Just signed new 🇩🇰 support for 🇪🇹 #COP31 engagement. The aim: stronger partnerships and mobilizing support for African climate priorities ahead of #COP32. Great to be working with @MoF_Ethiopia on both COPs.
The pleasure is all mine, Commissioner @Bankole_Adeoye 🤝 great to exchange views on current affairs and discuss next steps in our strategic partnership.
🇩🇰 is a longstanding partner of @AUC_PAPS - and we’re proud to be the biggest bilateral partner within the JFA 🕊️
Always a pleasure to exchange views with Amb. Sune Krogstrup, @Denmark_Addis🇩🇰. Our strategic meeting focused on shared peace and security priorities and practical avenues for deepening cooperation. I expressed on behalf of #PAPS our appreciation to Denmark for its longstanding and valued support. The engagement reaffirmed our shared commitment to African-led solutions, effective multilateralism and sustainable peace across the continent.

Statement by the Danish Foreign Minister on developments in Northern Ethiopia
FM @larsloekke “Denmark is deeply concerned by developments in North #Ethiopia. We call for de-escalation, humanitarian access and dialogue. We call on neighbouring countries to refrain from further escalation. The Pretoria Agreement and AU-led mediation remain the path to peace”
Thank you @OCHA_Ethiopia for co-organizing. Realities of climate change are changing landscapes and livelihoods. Deeply moving to see how local communities are adapting and persisting.
#HappeningNow | OCHA Ethiopia is coordinating a delegation of Government officials, ambassadors, & UN agencies to #SomaliRegion to see how recurrent climate shocks affect communities and livelihoods - & explore solutions that help communities withstand future shocks. #ElNino
Building peaceful and sustainable futures means tackling challenges holistically — considering the tremendous impact of climate change and ensuring inclusive decision-making at every step. Very proud of this new chapter in our partnership. Thank you @parfait_onanga and @UNOAU_
1/3 The Kingdom of Denmark and UNOAU marked a new phase of cooperation to strengthen the UN-AU partnership on #ClimatePeaceSecurity and #WomenPeaceSecurity.

Members of the Coalition for Atrocity Prevention and Justice in Sudan condemn the attack on a @WFP_Sudan humanitarian convoy in Sudan.
These targeted strikes prevent civilians from accessing life-saving aid and directly contribute to civilian harm. #IHL must be respected by all
Another interesting #COP32 meeting. Thank you to H.E. Semereta Sewasew @MoF_Ethiopia for a good discussion on #COP32 preparations and cooperation. 🇩🇰 is keen to explore more green investment, supporting Ethiopia’s climate and development priorities.
Good exchange with the COP32 Secretariat @MFAEthiopia on Ethiopia’s #COP32 preparations. We discussed progress, priorities and opportunities for intl. cooperation, including strengthening engagement with partners and building capacity for a successful conference.
Thank you for having us, Commissioner @MosesVilakati of @AU_DARBE. Good discussion on strengthening coordination around a shared agenda. A united approach and well-coordinated partnerships will be key to a successful, implementation-focused #COP32 that delivers for Africa
