Waterford GAA Officially Launches Win a House in Dungarvan 2027 Waterford GAA officially launched its Win a House in Dungarvan 2027 fundraising initiative on Friday, 6th November, at Lawlor’s Hotel, Dungarvan. The hugely successful launch brought together representatives from Waterford’s senior hurling and football management teams, underage management, players, the Waterford GAA Executive and clubs from across the county. Among those involved in the evening were Stephen Molumphy - Waterford Senior Hurling Manager & Management Team , Ephie Fitzgerald- Waterford Senior Football Manager, James O’Connor U20 Hurling, Walsh Park Development Committee Chairman Paudie Coffey, Waterford GAA Chairman Neil Moore and County Treasurer Kieran Geary. The initiative has one clear objective: to bridge the funding gap required to complete the redevelopment of Walsh Park. The €16 million redevelopment represents one of the most significant investments in Waterford GAA infrastructure in generations. As part of this ambitious project, Waterford GAA has been tasked with raising €750,000 towards its completion. Once completed, Walsh Park will be one of the highest-specification GAA stadiums in Ireland, providing a first-class home for Waterford teams and supporters. The ambition is to make Walsh Park a fortress for Waterford GAA, while also delivering lasting social, cultural and economic benefits for Waterford city and county. The potential to host major sporting occasions, concerts and other events will create further opportunities for the wider community and local economy. Importantly, this fundraiser will also directly benefit clubs throughout Waterford. Participating clubs will receive between 15% and 25% of their ticket sales, ensuring that the benefits of the initiative are felt at grassroots level across the county. “Win a House in Dungarvan 2027 is a hugely important fundraiser for Waterford GAA, which will directly benefit our clubs financially while helping to fund the redevelopment of Walsh Park, with works commencing imminently.
