She was 24, a Swiss model working in financial services, when event promoter Jill Harth recruited her for the Donald J. Trump American Dream Pageant in November 1993 — a competition built for young women ages 16 to 22. Harth is the same woman who later filed her own 1997 lawsuit against Trump. At a press luncheon at the Plaza Hotel — the hotel Trump owned — he walked up to her and said, "Finally we meet, Ms. Keul," pronouncing her name "cool." They talked for at least 15 minutes. He promised to arrange her visa and personally get her into NYU. When she said she could handle her own visa, he insisted: "No no, my friend Paolo will take care of that." Paolo Zampolli, his modeling-agent associate. The moment Trump stepped away, Jeffrey Epstein walked up and said, "I'm Jeffrey, Don's best friend." For at least ten minutes he talked to her, glancing over at Trump across the room, offering a Mar-a-Lago trip with flights and hotels covered: "We organize many parties with Don."
