Dorothy Lynas elmentary: suspicious fire investigated - North Shore News nsnews.com/local-news/suspic…
This weekend in Colorado Springs, we stood with our IAFF brothers and sisters to remember two of our own: Steve Villeneuve and Bob Harrison.
We are grateful to Sarah Emmert for attending in honour of Bob, and to Sharlene and Makian MacDonald for being there to honour Steve.

The Sept. 11 attacks confronted the fire service with an incident beyond anything it had prepared for.
In the 25 years since, the IAFF has driven change in emergency response, communications, toxic exposure protections, and behavioral health.

Our thoughts are with Chief Bolan’s family as well as our Brothers and Sisters at Local 18 during this tough time.
We are sorry for your loss.
Congratulations to Firefighter Matt Saely, who was awarded the Commendation for Valour earlier today for his actions at the Silverlynn Fire.
Matt bravely rescued several people under hazardous conditions and at great personal risk.
Well done Matt- you truly deserve this honour.
#NeverForget the 343 firefighters that gave their lives on this day in New York 23 years ago.
This sacrifice amounts to more lives lost in one event than the total amount of firefighters working for the three North Shore Fire Departments. @nvcfflocal296 @DWVFirefighters
